So he spent all his time planning this out... the idea, what he would use, editing the video, and how he would structure the music. And the thing is he didn’t even do it for himself. What makes it so good is the four note chords (language barrier here) that give a basic metal song a really fresh sound. There's a band that incorporate that idea in most of their music. Looking back on this vid almost 4 years later without a doubt this is my favorite djent video Jared did, don’t get me wrong all the other ones had their charm as well. Musically this is my favorite one by far, it has a lot of interesting elements. Especially for making it on a short timeline with the whole scam thing that happened

This wasn't his idea for djent 17, the original idea was to get a guitar with 17 strings for the video, but, since he got scammed out of 400 dollars, he got the idea of making a song with 17 different guitars instead as a last ditch attempt to save djent 17

yeah, that video was all about how djent is going to shit and people will listen to whatever is "THE LOWEST, DEEPEST, HEAVIEST, ect..." instead a song that had actual effort put into it. The entire concept of "djent 2XXX" is satirically parodizing how much worse djent has gotten, and how people like youwill listen to anything that looks impressive.

Same. I upgraded the tuners and tremolo and swapped in a loaded black pickguard with GFS humbucker and just a volume control. the thing is actually pretty good. neck is super thin.
