Damn this goes hard. So many of modern metal guitar riffs are ruined by pointless fills etc... But these riffs didn't have anything pointless, everything fits very well.
It fucking djents!! Another beast of a track with awesome funny commentary about tractors and Egyptian gods :P Way to go brother! Amazing job as always
I've been wanting to get an 8 string but have had a heck of a time trying to figure out what to get after seeing some of your videos I knew which one to buy! Your playing skills are absolutely amazing!
My music taste is not so regular, i can listen different genres and take something here and there. For example today i have both Chris Daughtry and Fit for an Autopsy in my playlist, and tomorrow there will be God is an Astronaut with Cannibal Corpse lol.
Hi Alex... New follower. I like your playing. You got a good ear for the chugs. Stupid question. I am no guitar player but I feel I got a good ear. From a technical POV is it harder/easier to find new riffs with all the zeros and ones? Is even harder/easier even the right way to put that? I get a lot of back and forth with my guitar players I will manage about the shift from technical ability to sonically this works over that. I get open notes and all but the more technical players seem to frown upon it where sonically it sounds amazing. Do players, fans, anyone really care about the technical difficulties or just that it sounds good? Me... IDC... If it sounds good who the hell cares if its "not as technical" as say metal/hard rock guitars from yesteryears past. I know its just different flavors but its all ice cream in the end. Id bring up you do not see Van Halen/Lynch/Rhodes style players playing this stuff or even flirting with it. Its like Taboo for them. I never got that.
If I understand the question correctly i must say for me there is no reason to play something technical just for "play technical" It's better to play two notes and make it sound right and catchy, than play all the notes in every track and all of these would be incomprehensibly monotonous and unrecognizable.
Cheers mate, Ive gone for all seymour Duncan’s in all mine. Ive love your music too Alex. I was a 7 string player and was having trouble learning the 8 string. Ive learnt so much from you 😊😊
What kind of guitar is this? I’m about to buy a Schecter 8 string, a demon to be specific and I’m wondering if I’m coincidentally about to buy the same guitar as on this video!
Second Verse is such nasty writing. It pushes the beat so nicely. The syncopation is simple enough to be extremely catchy and yet just complex enough for immediate Meshuggah face. It could be an actual top tier banger if a song was built with it as a focus.
There was no actual "hate", and even now I'm not into all these modern metal genres. It was fun to be little different, and now i hope "my djent" is different too, because i have different roots and slightly different taste.
