Hi, are you going to do a telemetry overlay tutorial for the Osmo 4 or not? This is exactly what I've been looking for and I'd love to see a tutorial. (No I haven't checked elsewhere for one)
Hey Mr Black, cool and interesting Video. I have the Osmo Action 3. So will the remote work on that too or is it specifically for the Action 4? Thanks.
would this work for a cloud time lapse where I can put the clock or time in the corner of the time lapse? can I power the GPS with usb so it doesn't eat the battery if its gotta be within 30 feet and on the whole time of im doing 5s time lapse?
Problem I came across is doing for example long videos with overlay. Longer video cuts in smaller clips usually approx 20 minutes in 4k and data cant be added to merged clips. It can only be added to individual clips and distance always starts from zero. SO if you do whole day riding around and want to record distance it wont work. Well it will but every clip distance will start from zero even if it was continuous recording.
Thanks for the video!!! One question, when I would buy the program "Telemetry Overlay", when using the files from the action 4, can I just take the SD-card from the camera, transfer it to my Mac, upload it to the Telemetry Overlay program, and that it works? Or.... Connect the camera to the phone, download the files to the phone, and than upload it to the computer? What will do the job? Thanks in advance!
Hey, how did you get this working in telemetry overlay? I've copied the video file straight from the SD card but there's no GPS data embedded. Yes I do have the remote, I can get the gauges working fine within the mimo app so the GPS data is there somewhere
This. The only reason I purchased the GPH11 (very stable btw), and also for the GoPro Labs. Such an amazing feature. For instance, I set my GPH11 to start recording video when my GPS speed hits 35kmph during a drive. All setup using a QR code on my phone. So worth it!
Congrats on 50k Mr. Black, I love the great big doggo making a fluffy cameo in the background. Anyway, it's a cool device, but DJI charging $80 extra for a device that provides many features that are just built into the Go Pro seems like but the best move to me.
Meant warmly, but this 32nd format really doesn’t work for me personally. This was my first video and experience of your site and I’m not sure it’s one that you would want perspective subscribers to see.
Hi there.. yea its just meant to be something quick and to the point... just more, when you are chatting with a friend and say... 30 secs but its usually much more than 30 seconds
_"...like on the wing of your plane"_ - wtf? So to add the overlays, you need to purchase a separate remote control and mess around with that, then move everything over to an app on your phone to add the graphic overlays... then download that to your computer for editing. That's just a convoluted mess.
ya, it seems most action cameras are doing this, hero 12, ace pro.. I think they did some research and found that typical consumers do not use the gps feature. But yes the hero 11 still does have it
