I took my craft out yesterday afternoon and took to it like a fish in water. Possibly the greatest purchase I have ever made. As an ultra-low budget filmmaker, the Air 3 allows me to pull off complex shots in way way less time than an expensive crane set-up would take. I'm in awe. I'm shooting in a Gym a week from now and I'm already excited at the possibilities my new drone presents. Thank you again for your clear and concise, no-nonsense approach to flying this bird. You are a great teacher and are a huge help for this newbie!
Thank you for this precious guide. I just bought a DJI Air 3 and made my first installations, chargings, updates, and calibrations. Then I realized that on the RC screen I had a sensor error. After that, I had doubts about flying and worried about hardware malfunctioning. Then I found your guide and became so relaxed. Thank you
I'm new to your channel, though this isn't the first of your videos I watch. I really love your presentation "style". You have a clear voice and speak calmly with a natural flow - super easy to understand everything. You also have a clear and logical order in which you present the details while helping us (viewers) to keep our orientation with all the subtle hints about what and when the next topic will be ("...which I'll show you in a minute/up next"). My new favorite channel!
Just got our air 3...have watched your guide numerous times. You have taken the time to break down ALL the components and explained what they are used for. Excellent job of explaining everything that makes the air 3 work. Kudo's to you!!!
By far the best DJI air 3 guide I have seen, others have lacked information or been to long. All though this tutorial is a little long in parts it is still very good. Thankyou!
Great video! I’m coming from a Phantom 4 and, previously, a Phantom 3 so I’m already experienced in flying DJI drones. But, I just got an Air 3 for my birthday today and your video is loaded with so much valuable info and clearly presented that I’m already feeling prepared to fly it! This was the perfect video to watch while my batteries are charging.
I will fly air 3 hopefully Saturday for the first time also avata! Your videos are really helpful for a person like me who is a beginner. Thanks a lot for making such useful videos.
Thank you for this great introduction to the Air 3. Your attention to detail and slowly maneuvering of the menu is especially appreciated. I have subscribed and will be looking forward to your next tutorial. I will hopefully have my new Air 3 by that time.
I'm getting this as my first drone ever next month. Been wavering between getting the 3 battery package or just the base package. But then i kind of thought, i really want to properly learn drone operating, and become good at it. More batteries = more learning and training time per day. Because lets be real, after having travelled an hour or more to a nice spot, you're unlikely to go back home, recharge, then go back out. So i'm thinking about the batteries more as extra hours per day of potential training, not as convenience.
Thank you for the awesome tutorial. You are a really good teach. This channel is one of the best I watched and I have watched about 5 other drone channels.
@@AirPhotography Ah I see! I didn't watch the entire thing. I got to where you showed how to take off and got antsy, so I went down the road and made a video at a burnt out combine with mine. Mine will hopefully be following me aromatically.
Love my Air 3! Having a blast flying it. So precise and handles like a dream 😃Got the Fly More Combo... Such a great tutorial and overview, thank you! Love the aerial shots, great beach front video...
It's a great video for beginners.. Thanks for all the information.. You made the gimble tilt down while it was returning to home but did describe how you did it, only that is missing..
@@AirPhotography Thanks! I just got it today, I'd be flying it now but unfortunately we're having a bit of a snowstorm at the moment. Regardless, your vid was really helpful with getting everything setup and ready. Thanks again!
Great video tutorial clear as a crystal explaination ,thank you so much ive owned also dji air 3 its help me your tutorial to improve to fly my drone.greatings from❤🙏🇵🇭
Great Video Sean! I don't have the Drone yet but gonna get it and this is Very helpful to know every tiny detail so people have a Good experience setting everything up!
I think you forget very important one, drone maneuvering. When drone camera is facing you, controller becomes opposite compared to when the camera is facing away from you.
@AirPhotography I just took out my Air 3 probably 2 hours after watching this video. I've never flown a drone before and this was some of the most fun I've had in awhile. this video helped a bunch. that was so cool. it amazing how well these things fly.
I have just bought an Air 3 and your tutorial is so helpful! It's my first.... right away I notice that I have - ZERO - connection to any satellites. How do I connect to satellites, I'm sure there is something simple I am missing.
Great Video. I just ordered an Air 3. I have flown many beginner drones, but this is my first real DJI. Question with return to home. What if i want to take off from a moving object (such as my boat). How does that work if the boat has moved locations. It's obviously very important being in the water, and accuracy. Thanks
Great video. This drone seems more advanced/powerful than my DJI Mini Pro 3. I still need to gain more confidence flying the drone watching the controller instead of drone. Any suggestions? Thanks.
It's always said that in Sport mode it has no obstacle avoidance, however i've seen glimpses of the settings screen in other videos where it appears you can manually edit the max speeds in various axis even in normal mode. Is it possible to up the max speed in normal mode so it behaves as in sport mode, while still keeping the obstacle avoidance turned on? In other words, does DJI disable it in sport mode so that people can fly freely without it "overriding" your inputs? Or is it simply a matter of, above a certain speed it just wont work anyway?
Great video. Thank you Q: I’m noticing that the 3 batteries out of the box are quite flat and taking some time to charge. Is this normal? How long does it take to charge all 3 batteries
I just purchased Fly More with RC2 such a good value. I had to scrape every cent but I think those bundles are a hardcore psychological upsell, but I got sucked in :P
make a video on how to get screen recording off the Smart Controller. The only way I was able to do it was plug the SC into my computer and it shows up as DJI RC2. Then open internal shared storage > movies.... the files are in there. Also, the waypoints do not work like they did on the Mavic 3, you now can only enter waypoints while you are in flight and you have to press the C1 button. With the Mavic 3 you could plan a waypoint flight without being connected to the drone.
I have a question...Trying to always be prepared, I started IMU calibration on my DJI Air 3. I did it according to directions, but it's been stuck at 95% done for quite some time and it reads as "unable to take off." How do I get out of it? Or, can I expect it to be over soon?
Question, are you charging it off of a computer or are you plugging it in to the wall? Over 2 hours still charging 1 battery just received my air3 today don’t know what’s going on never had issues with none of my other DJI drones and I’m using their charging hub thank you
I have a doubt about the Air 3. 4K/60fps HDR. Is this function automatic? Because on the mini 3 pro it clearly says HDR if you record in 24-30 fps. But with the Air 3 no such visible option is available. I just got my Air 3 yesterday. So does it record HDR automatic? Or do I need to change anything?
DJI AIr comes in box with no propellors attached, but your video does not show the method because props are already on it. Why not start from the beginning in a video that is a beginner's guide?
I’ve been flying drones since 2013 my advice is if you’re a beginner don’t spend a grand or more on a drone to learn how to fly with. You will just crash it and then you will be out all that money. Go purchase a cheaper drone like the mini 2 until you can get used to the controls and how everything works.
Agree. I started with a Ruko F11 and I’m glad I did. It’s a very durable drone and makes you appreciate a drone that you don’t have to calibrate before every flight. I went through several sets of props.
Hi Shawn, I am looking to get a good camera drone. I am a seasoned FPV pilot and watched your video on the DJI FPV drone, but does it have a good enough camera or is the DJI Air 3 better? I prefer to fly FPV but what would you recommend for a camera drone for me? I very much trust your opinion, your videos are top notch & very informative!
Great video! Just wondering, do you take out the block of foam at the bottom of the bag? With it being inside the drone sticks out a bit and feels like the lid is constantly putting pressure on the back of the drone, and it won't close properly so seems like it's not "dustproof" at all. My first big purchase so i dont wanna break it lol
@@AirPhotography I noticed that it's the same bag as the mavic 3 pro. so i basically just removed the foam and have the gimble pointed upwards like the m3p. it should not be a problem i guess
Shawn have you tried down loading files from the air 3 sd card (via card reader) to your iPad photos. I noticed this is no longer possible with the air 3/Mavic 3 Pro due to the length of the files which DJI has made longer. What are your suggestions
I haven’t noticed that yet, but I haven’t had any extremely large files. Usually I’m only recording for a few minutes at a time. I wonder if iOS 17 that’s coming this fall will address that issue for a longer file sizes.
