The FAA Drone Zone is asking for information such as serial # .. The number is on the bottom of the box and is the serial number to enter is normally with letters and numbers. That is correct that it has remote ID. The Fly app takes forever and sometimes even crashes. Thank you for the information. Great work, thank you.
Thanks for making this video. Do we need a FAA Part 107 license if I buy DJI Avata 2 or any similar weighing drone which is 249+ gram but less than 500 grams or is registering the drone with FAA good enough?
Nobody litterly is telling people this. Thank you bro. i thought this was clickbait. I have an air 2s and thinking it being smaller i wouldnt have to do it.
I'm going to register mine here soon, but I've read that once you register a drone as a hobby drone it can't be switched to commercial. So I'm afraid to register it as a hobby drone, If I ever take the 107 and try to find work my drone will be improperly registered as a hobby drone and I won't be able to change it to commercial.
You don’t need a license to register under 107. The main difference is that under 107 you have to register each drone. Each drone will have a separate tail number. Under recreational, you register one time and use that number for all of your drones. There is no real downside to registering under 107 other that a separate $5 fee for each drone.
Omg this is AWFUL watching this guy struggle through updates, registrations, etc. NOTHING HERE NOBODY CAN DO Themselves and struggle the same amount. Ugh.
The fact that these drones have to be registered is a good thing, but only because of idiots who put them where they shouldn’t. Punishes the responsible user I guess
I’m intrigued, did it take the 42 minutes to get that update that it suggested it was going to take, or did it take way longer? In my experience of updates it usually says it’s 99% for about 10 minutes, knows how to wind you up 🤬🤬
Apparently you have no experience with drones. You are just like many others who sees this product and want to fly a drone. Flying a drone takes time to develop the skill but people like you that think I’ll just buy this drone and fly out of the box with no experience well this isn’t the case. Develop your skills in a simulator then begin in beginner mode. It’s people like that ruin the hobby by flying with no experience and make dumb mistakes.
You're wrong there buddy just unboxed my Avata 2 last night "my first drone" and I flew that thing like a champ through the house👍 hardest part was the updating and registration for everything
