Just about a week before I started a Road Trip to Scotland, the DJI Avata arrived in the mail. This was my first time ever flying a FPV Drone and Scotland was an amazing training ground for it. It started to be way more fun than I ever expected and I got hours of footage from this trip alone. This ia a bit a "best-of" my shots from the trip. If you want to see more, check out my Instagram!

Hard to say. There's lots of videos on RU-vid and channels like this already that can't grow. We've reached the point of saturation and the Avata is just going to make it worse since the mainstream consumer now has access to fpv.

😂 With premiere and coffee. I think the short form is: graded (partly with different Luts), then put noise reduction over it, especially over the ones where the image falls apart due to the grading, tweak it a ton, apply some chromatic abberation in the end to hide the mushyness. Done :)

Hey! That´s so inspiring to hear :) I´m using the FPV controller. Most of teh time is spent in manual. But here and there, especially for tight spaces, I like to go in to Normal mode

Really? Thanks man! I honestly didn't care too much if it's a cinewhoop or something different. I saw cool shots from other pilots and tried to do something similar. And I guess, I'm lucky the drone was able to keep up :)

Thank you so much man! I´m flattered ☺ It was quite cold and wet to be honest...and basically everytime I took off, I was eaten alive by midges that covered every cm of my face. But it was worth it :) And to answer your question, I edited everything in premiere pro.

Great stuff dude! 👍 I know the camera records in 60 FPS but did you slow things down slightly in post? Everything is so buttery smooth and dramatic for 60.

Thanks a lot! :) Not at all. I enabled optical flow in premiere which makes the 60fps footage look a bit smoother. And the footage is stabilized in Gyro flow afterwards and not with the built in stabilization. Maybe that contributed a bit as well...

Thank you so much man! I used Liftoff and am pretty happy with it. There are some drone models in the steam workshop that are quite similar to the avata. And physica there are good enough to give you a good feel for everything

Videos like this make me kinda wish I got the Avata instead of the Mavic 3. These shots look amazing, and fun to do! What did you use to color grade the video?

I think it makes a lot of sense to have a Mavic 3. It’s the one that gets the work done, The Avata is more like the „fun shots if the project allows it“ type. I used a combination of Luts and own color grading… honestly the mavic 3 is much easier to grade :)
