I love the idea of this drone. I was seriously looking at it as an option for our river crew where we use drones to scout for hazards and record video of blockages. I like the robustness of this drone and how the goggles would block out the sunlight and let us see better. However the low flight time and subpar camera make me lean towards the mavic 3 still.
@@51Drones thank you for the confirmation. That was my concern. Often times we unpack around tree cover so its easy to hit small limbs that we didnt see. Its why I was initially looking at this but think the mavic 3 will be better for us especially since we cant always control the wind through the river.
I had purchased the old DHI goggles around 4 or 5 years ago but could never use them because I wear glasses and I could never focus them. That was a waste of $1,000. Still brand new stored away with several other accessories and drones that never quite worked for me. Do you have any word about people having any problems using eye glasses with the Avata goggles?
really want this drone lol debating on saving up for this one or build a FPV drone. Im kinda thinking the Avata just becuase im more of a casual FPV drone flier that just flies for fun and to explore
Buy a bump helmet(team Wendy) with a dovetail mount, mount the goggles like a set of NVGs. Mount the battery pack on the rear of the helmet and cables can be routed through the helmet. Result: you will look like a drone pilot with PTSD. Pros: civilians will avoid you Cons: armed response by SWAT
@@gro967 absolutely, I'm a camera drone guy, M2 pro and M3, I really want to enter FPV, looks like a lot of fun but flight times are what's keeping me out, I'm really trying to like it 🤢
@@51Drones you are the expert, I'm just used to camera drones flight times, sounds though, 1/3 of the flight time of what I'm used to, that's what's keeping me out. Maybe I'm wrong. Salutes
