I love my DJI FPV drone. Got mine last month, & I’ve been flying it quite a bit, & I’m, so glad I bought this drone. This FPV is truly amazing. Be careful to not let the sun shine into the googles. It’ll burn spots into the imaging screens inside, so when I’m not wearing the googles. I stuff a rag into the googles, so the sun can’t get into the googles. Also… At the end of the flight. Let the fan run in the drone till it slows down on its own. Then swap out the battery. Keep your batteries from extreme temps. They don’t like to be cold, or hot. Charge your batteries after they cool off, or they won’t take a charge till they cool off… Get the insurance. No matter how careful you are. Your going to crash it. That’s a guarantee, These are the things I’ve figured out from flying it. Hope this’ll help you out.
This is EXACTLY what I've been waiting for drone's to be capable of before buying one. This thing is like a little star wars spaceship... and it goes almost 100mph!?! Sheeesh!
There are two things that I think are missing or need to be tuned: 1) DJI would have really done themselves out if they would have added the "follow me" feature. 2) You can see the propellers on your recording. They should have made the propellers a little bit more out or to the sides so you don't see them on the recording. Overall, this drone is great. Imagine if these two points are addressed, the drone will kick ass.
I have a 14 inch telescope and infrared camera's to film ufo's...with success and I want an infrared drone...so this is my first drone video. I am blown away. I am hooked. Thanks bro.
Nice review 👍 RTH can be improved by: - Switch on the drone on the landing site and wait until enough satellites are received (at least 10). -Vertical takeoff to 25ft and hover for a few seconds.
Lone of the best reviews ive ever seen. Great info with alot of small details without being repetitive and annoying. I'm a subscriber now. Great job brother,
Dustin sounds like the most friendly person ever. I'd love to just sit down have a cup of coffee and talk drones. Keep these videos coming man I love watching! Hopefully I'll be getting my first DJI soon.
I come here mainly for the scenery and the cool drones nearly crashing, as they struggle being out of juice. This channel is fearless with expensive drones, and we aren't so we feel the fear.
I just want to say I love this review so much! I am going to get this drone and I’ve been looking a bunch about it and I have to say you have the best review on it love it!!
When I found out DJI were doing FPV, I wanted to see some vids to see how it works. Didn't see a video by Dustin, so I've been waiting for this! Only drone reviews that I enjoy and trust. Great work man keep it up
This is the first review that talked to me instead of the pro FPV pilots. Outstanding review. You talk across and not down to your audience. I just finished my first drone flight with the this drone. Simulator training really helped. I am now a subscriber to follow your future testing with this drone. Thank you!
Thanks for your review. I recently purchased the Air 2S and love it. Wanting to get an FPV drone I’ve really been interested in DJI’s FPV drone. Thanks again for your unbiased review.
I've been wanting to get into drones for the last few years but listening to all the other channels it's like these guys get off on trying to sound like NASA astronauts and the beginner can't follow. That made learning and building a drone seem so daunting. Your way of communicating is much easier to understand and in combination with this DJI drone made me make the jump. I'm so freaking excited I can't wait for it to arrive.
Mate, many thanks for a great video. I bought myself the DJI FPV with extra batteries and the motion controller. I haven’t had it up yet, been scared to break it. After some good watching/rewatching your video. I’m taking it out this afternoon.
Excellent review!! I really don't know why this video wasn't one of my first results when searching for DJI FPV. I don't usually give a Like unless i REALLY love a video, and you sir deserved it completely.
The one thing I feel they need to really improve on is the batteries for the dji drones.. none of them last very long at all and I understand that short battery life has been the standard for planes and helicopters and drones for a long time but I think it's time we get improvement already. I mean we should atleast be getting 30 minutes of hard running out of what we pay for these drones.. :)
What I wouldn't do to have one of these or a Mavic Air 2. Being a disabled vet with a tiny pension is not conducive to getting a new drone very often. The Mini 2 is about the best I could ever afford :(. Great video as always. I love your videos my friend!
I am a fan of your videos, you always make very interesting videos and good video's to sit back and relax and listen to mister Dunhills voice telling us and showing about RC and tech, keep it up man!!
i hope they come out with a smaller version of this type of drone... seems incredible...i spent $500 for shark googles back in 2014 and i never once even used them...my bad..now they are crap compared to this tech... how cool would it be to just fly using wrist motion to control and to have googles that have no issues and full view for long distance... i think all the pro racers will switch to this type of setup for sure... amazing
The motion controller is $199 but is really worth it. I get a little motion sickness with the regular controller but very little with the motion controller. If you don't fly in manual mode then the motion controller with be the most fun for people used to Mavic and Phantoms. It is the most unique flying experience I have had in years.
Watching your reviews is always such a treat. Like a favorite tv show or movie, the hour just flies by. Look forward to seeing you race that thing over the mountains and the ocean. Thank you!
One thing I’ve really wanted someone to do was take apart a DJI FPV drone and place the components into a normal carbon fiber frame with 2306 motors, so that you are able to fly it with the Grey fpv controller and also use the DJI goggles on the fpv drone channel. Way better connection and link quality
Brilliantly documented!!! Much appreciated! I will get my 2 FPV next week with six batteries and will follow similar testings. Thanks for some trouble shooters/mini tests, especially some of FPV limitations…taking heavy notes; nonetheless, there’s nothing like first hand trials. Will bring extra doggy treats just incase a dog shows up. 😂
Hey man. After watching your video, I remember reading on the manual that your cell wi-fi may cause signal issues, and for that reason they recommend to be turned off. Check that out just in case. Great video, tnx
Interesting flight. I wonder how the headset power was, would it need to be charged after a single flight? Also the signal of the hand controller at the end, as it has no antenna and the other controller is your headset, I guess it goes to the headset and then out right? Certainly seemed to have some power in sport and maybe could lift quite a load. Yet was not happy to see how quick the power use was. Thanks for your time.
thanks, solid review. I loved that you broke it down to the basics of actually flying it rather then just read of a spec sheet and proceed to show epic footage montage like all reviews I've seen do.
Very good review real and to the point. well done and thank you. Just wish i could get one, will have to put some money by to get this. Looks like real fun. Surprised by the lack of flight time. less than stated by a lot from what i have seen.
