i'm 2 flights in as a beginner and i love this drone. i have no intention of building my own or doing insane acro. i'm an ex air force flight enthusiast who just likes the experience with no problem improving slowly. unfortunately for the haters that will be the majority of drone operators so get used to seeing them.

I LOVE my Dji fpv…… I fly it more then any of my other drones including my home built unless Im doing crazy freestyle….. this drone does it all and you can grow on it as your skills get honed….. everybody hates on it and most have prob never even flew one or own one! Oh well haters gonna hate anyways thanks man and enjoy

I loved my dji fpv.....I just wished it wasn't so fragile. We have like all the same taste SpitFires, tmotor pacers, akon prop adapter, the antennas on your freestyle goggles.....damn bro we even got the same cushion for the goggles......😅😅😅😅stay fly bro love ur style😊😊😊

someone helped me with an analogy for this drone...just imagine if it was a type of performance car, a few of us had decided on the delorean of drones, fast fun cool over priced and repairs are impossible for 'proprietary' stuff

i guess most people dont know that you can adjust the sensitivity of your controller sticks to make the stock drone fly more or less sensitive based on your settings...

Just brought this drone last week. Yo.... Best decision I made. Got the mini 3 pro on pre order for possible work and to let my girl fly. The DJI FPV is strictly for me.

@@joshbryon8628 if you want the best of both worlds get the DJI FPV. You will have a lot more fun. Even if you only fly sport mode. The mini 3 camera will be better overall. More noticeably in low light. I don't fly at night or 30 minutes before sun down. The DJI FPV will allow you to do regular drone things and when ready, switch into the mode of manual. Total control, a different world. Not sure why people tried to hate on this drone from launch. Maybe they didn't understand it being a hybrid.

@@joshbryon8628 FPV is a rabbit hole. It depends on what you want. Do you want to take great videos with little to no excitement? Or do you want to feel like a jet pilot while taking mediocre videos?

I love this drone. Will never do acrobatics or racing just simple flying around. Battery life is the only issue. Any idea if a provider of better batts exists ?

I have yet to hear of one. My best recommendation would be to find more efficient propellers to use with the prop adapters. Something with less pitch than the original DJI props. You'd have to try a couple sets yourself though, I have never done testing to find the best solution for efficiency. All my testing was for performance.

we have a guy around here that uses the adapters and that quad seems to book it pretty hard with them on. his has a little duct tape and fiberglass filler...but im sure that isn't holding him back, lol.

This thing really does book it. It will hit about 95-98mph pretty easy especially with the props I use. They are meant for racing but they are also super smooth. When this drone isn't bobbling around or loose feeling (how it feels with stock props) it really does feel a lot more dialed in and you have a lot more confidence to rip with it.

@@MurdersFPV yeah he uses some fairly high pitch props as well for his and it seems to make it more "traditional" FPV quad like. i think DJI was trying to keep it as tame as possible since the largest portion of heir customer base isn't the kind of person who can fly an FPV quad at a high level quickly. For sure it has its purpose in the stock form, but i like it much better with the big boi props, lol.

DJI FPV is epic drone, I just got prop adapters can't way to try them out I'm a little suspicious because of how much weight you're adding on the motor, also what it's going to do to the battery life and the heat for the Drone....but everyone seems to say they do great.

The increase in performance far overshadows the perceived reduction in battery life. If anything, reduced battery life is going to come from choice of props rather than the minor increase in weight from the prop adapters.

Have you tried some 4 bladed props? Any particular prop that has less noise ?

Haven't tried 4 bladed yet. I'm usually not too worried about noise.

Wish I could change PIDs on this thing. Hopefully some day. For rates, I actually prefer: 20 | 900 | .54 20 | 900 | .54 20 | 630 | .54

@@74737ali I am a firm believer that using a GoPro on the DJI FPV drone is not worth the loss of flight characteristics. I consider myself much more of a freestyle pilot and for that, the DJI camera is more than adequate. Not to mention there are incredible cinematic videos out there that use the DJI camera that are phenomenal. It's a different look than the GoPro but that doesn't make it worse in my opinion.

It's seems that lately in this hobby like since 2019/2020 there has been a lot of general hate from people who don't own the product they are hating on to people who just hate the company in general. I try and enjoy what I spend my money on if it don't work out try something else but at least I owned it before I gave it a bad group of words lol

Hello murderersfpv Nice Review! K have a question maybe You could help me out. I have the original dobo head mount for the dji fpv drone, and i also have an 8 hero black (full size) and a geprc hero 8 black naked. I have both with same settings, wifi off and all the same settings. Thing is that with the naked i get a satelite drop to almost 0 and with the full size i don't have any problem. Any idea of this?

I was under the impression that the Naked GoPro cameras had the GPS components removed from them other than the Hero 10 Bones. I could be wrong but that's likely the issue.

Hi, I have problems diving straight down a waterfall with this DJI FPV drone. The zero throttle motor idle is too high. Any chance of adjusting it lower in manual mode? I dont want to change props for ones with lower thrust. Then I might not catch the dive safely.

did you loosen the f1 and f2 screws in the back of left gimbal on remote control? Sounds like that's your problem.. you need to loosen them to achieve true zero throttle.

This drone really does rip with better props. At the end of the day it's not a self built carbon fiber freestyle drone. It's a flying potato but it is still a lot of fun. Flight time is great, range is great, and I even let my mom fly it and she had a great time.

I didn’t know those antennas 5.8 ghz would work with Dji fpv drone , sorry new in the hobby and I’m loosing connection every time I flight behind trees .

I bought those Dal proops spitfire and for me are waste of money. Stock are much better. I use gemfan hurricane 5236 and for me are one of the best proops for Dji fpv. And I got arm bracers they saved me couple of times that's I'm sure and gimbal protector. For my opinion is this must be on Dji fpv.

Rates are in the description. I've changed it up just a tad. 900 pitch/roll, 630 yaw, everything else is the same.

Honestly I don't know. I send it pretty hard and it's taken a few tumbles. I've bent a lot of props and mine has scratches from smacking trees but I'm pretty good at recovering after hitting something and I usually crash in a way that doesn't end in a straight smack into the ground. Haha I just realized part of being a decent pilot means knowing how to crash I suppose. 😅

Every time I fly it, I fly it like I stole it. It's not durable but this particular one has been hanging in there for me. I think there is something to be said with "knowing" how to crash. I have been fortunate enough not to smash it into concrete yet. I usually save the riskier moves for tree/grass spots.

I also rip mine daily….. mine has held up fine so far and I love it! To each there own man but a cadillac? Thats putting it down pretty lets say a Ford GT500…… cool
