DJI got in contact with yourself & me yesterday on Twitter, I had a refund from DJI this morning. According to the tracking information on the faulty Osmo Action the item arrived in Holand 9 days ago. A total process of 30 day's from initial contact, I wonder how much longer i may have waited if the issue wasn't featured on your channel! Thanks for the input Dylan, much appreciated!!👍 Going to buy a GoPro Hero 8 Now!
I bought the M300 on release - fully equipped - only flown it a few times in 2 years lol - although I do like the IR10 laser zoom payload !!!!! so its pitch black at night but you can zoom in on people, objects, etc without the need of a bright light! no one knows you are watching them in the pitch black sky!! oh and total BS about being light in power this thing is a beast and can haul a lot of weight easily!
Thanks for the informative video. Actually thought the graph of flight time v. payload was a very reasonable way for DJI to characterize performance (assuming it is close to accurate) and not too sleazy.
@@IkoptaUk Best attribute is getting up and back in the pocket without notice. Not having to look over your shoulder every minute is gold. It certainly makes for a more relaxing flight.

Hi Dylan. How's your bank holiday Friday going - now all as self isolating people don't have to go to work - we can just stay at home.......! I guess we don't talk about a price tag for this new drone, if we do we best be sitting down 😀 SD cards: I took a look the other day on Amazon (other retailers are available!), and yes, SD cards are just like birds - they are going cheap! Did you see Sandisk are doing a 1tb micro SD card 🤪 that's bigger than my first ever external hard drive. Which was a big heavy brick and had to be plugged in! Not as cheap as all the others, but I still feel nervous about having a shed load of data on just one card - just mad to think there's that much space on such a small thing. Isn't modern technology wonderful......!
Hey Ray.. Yeah, know what you mean about having that much storage.. the only time I think I'd use one is if I had a time-lapse thing going for a long time, but even then it would use that much storage.. 64gb seems to be my limit, even then use no where near that much as change cards, when I change batteries. They have yet to perfect the Matrice 210 RTK series and it's software. No hurry to beta test this one for them. FlightHub hasn't taken off as a Service either. So basically it's 34 minutes Vs. 55 minutes flight time and new "to DJI" cameras to buy ... Foxtech already sells similar.
Thats what kills me.. DJI never resolve its products.. just bins them or the fix is to launch a new product leaving all those that have spend hard earned cash frustrated.. but we still go back.

This is not a hobbyist system folks. So stop being unnerved by the capabilities. It is geared toward mainly public safety and rescue agencies that need these tools. If you people only knew what manned aircraft was doing to you daily then a little drone would not even make your radar screen. We use these in the public safety sector to better do our jobs to protect and serve. When your 4 year old is lost in the woods and we find your child due to the abilities of these machines please don't thank us as we know how many feel about these machines! Keep quiet and move along as we don't need you to then be a fan of such technology. Do some people use such things for nefarious outcomes? Why yes. But those are very few compared to the stats and numbers monthly that they are used for the good of our citizens.

Granted, it's awesome tech for military and police to use, helps keep lives safe. but with the FAA, we should have rights to using similar things via weight as well when it comes time. I fly drones for fun, freestyle and video making. Eventually maybe race them.
The amount of the sensitive information they can take from this drone is huge. DJI has never been reliable regarding data security and they never will be!
If you do not upload your information to servers that are not secure by your agency or workplace then it is not an issue. Record direct to SD cards then download that to your laptop. This is not brain surgery folks. I would never use DJI Flight Hub. Our agency uses a military compliant network and not one issue. Quit whining and use common sense.
hi interesting to hear about client maybe getting his osmo action action back after it arrived faulty. i had similar experience with my osmo action. mine got water damage. after inspection i found the battery seal was leaking. dji claims it is water proof shock and dust proof. well mine fell about 4 feet got a couple of scratches but was still working fine. then after taking into swimming pool trying to film a work year end function at a waterpark the osmo got water inside. seeing as i only had one battery and never removed it as i had to charge it via the device it was strange to hear from dji agent i fiddled with it. they said they can send it to dji to get fixed but i am going to have to pay for the repair. just sending it to dji and get it back to south africa i can buy a new one. i haven’t bought a new one cause i still feel i got afaulty unit. and will be persuing it further till i get answers. it seems the reseller blaming the agent the agent blaming me but i am still not getting answers and it been more than a year now i think🤔. long and short the camera is my step daighter’s camera. she bought it with money she inherrited from her dad that committed suicide three years ago so its not just a camera to her it has got sentimental value. thats what i tried explaining aswell but no one gives a damn so i will not give a damn to take my vendetta to all social media platforms. if you can get clarity for me from dji that will be great you can contact me at +27791750072 or email jmjsolutions4@icloud.con. highly doubt any feedback as i am used to it. 👍love your videos i watch them all. sorry for sounding weird or a bid abrasive but time and customer aftersales service that sucks do that to you. i am a dji agent myself and if i cant get answers i really dont know what this partnership will do if it starts like this.
DJI & other drone companies go through serious government regulations to make these things safe and not able to “spy”. It’s ludicrous to think this is what our adversaries would use to spy! There’s a lot easier ways to get it done!!!
Eric.. i think you missed the narrative a bit.. or not watched to the end.. Not concerned that DJI or china will be doing the spying.. its how its used on the ground and by whom..

Mavic air 2 in europe no ADS-B because DJI can't get the parts. Hold on the M300 has it hhhmmmm. Think anyone who bought the new Mavic air 2 in Europe just got tea bagged by DJI.

No requirement at the moment.. save money, don't put it in.. They have a point though.. pretty pointless for 99% of people that buy their product. Time Gov stop trying treat UAV she use as aircraft.. they are just flying cameras after all.
In the US Mavic Pro's are bing used to tell people to stay home, the irony. I'm going to buy as little as possible from China but that's almost impossible.
I'd like to know the thinking when advertising flight times that are completely unrealistic. It's similar to when car manufacturers would quote MPG based on a car that has been tested with less than a gallon of fuel, around a test track and with no passengers or added weight. How can they quote 55 minutes flight time when not carrying the weight of the items that you would need for the job the drone is intended for!! It's ludicrous.
Bazza I know right! Its like were allowed to make outrageous headline claims that no-one believes as long as we asterisk and say its balls in small print at the bottom of the page...🤔
I've stopped buying sd cards from Amazon as there are a lot of fake cards on there as reported by others. I looked on Western Digital who also make Scandisk and found the prices on there are better than Amazon and has free postage, and of course buying from the horses mouth you have a better chance of getting reliable SD cards.
Fair point.. never had an issue myself.. I like the amazon thing.. if there is an issue they tend to favour the consumer.. That said ALWAYS price check.. did just pick up some mic gear cheaper & and delivered next day so 🤷♂️
There's a useful free utility (PC) called h2testw, it will quickly expose faulty/cheap mem cards or USB sticks. Amazon returns are very simple. I only use Sandisk Extreme Pro for my drones and 100% so far.
Double by they time its gone through gov. procurement..😉 It's a lot of stash too put into hazardous locations etc. Meet a policeman last year at an event.. at the time he said rather than spend 30k on one, they'd rather have 100 mavic minis.. better distribution, more effective use
For 10000$ the average guy from IS buys such drone and gets a bomb carrier as I understand this dji ad .. he will not apply for a licence for sure and just fly regardless of all the restrictions that are in place for us average drone flyers all over europe ... or he breaks in a firestation and steal such drone there as it had happened in the past ...Most likely they would prefer a higher pay load ... but at least one point is interesting for us: the range is up to 15 km so dji has a tech they will bring sooner or later to their consumer drones for sure. Luckily the DJI Osmo friend will get his money back soon or call a lawyer .... My money is backk after I canceled my dji Air 2 fly more purchase due to missing airsense system here in europe. I do not buy an outdated drone from dji cause for germany they had anounced already that the following model will arrive this summer and replace the model ... Mini has been sold 2 weeks ago the day after the big firmware upgrade and my good old Mavic 2 Pro will do the job easily meanwhile.
