My pro arrives tuesday. Got it with the pro controller. I needed a larger drone than my mini 3 pro. The zoom feature will be used alot by myself as we are often having to document hazards along the river, many times from above the tree line.
Can you explain why it would be better to get on it's own? Is it because some people don't want to pay for everything at one time? And would rather buy the stuff as they go?
@@truthisweareallgonnadie.The mavic and especially the pro are geared to professionals that probably already have a handful of remotes already and so you're paying extra for a product you already own. Not many people are going to start playing with drones for fun and start with a $1500 drone
That 162mm is far from a gimmicky feature on the M3. I used it as much as my wide angle. It just doesn't have d-log. Aside from a wide angle, a telephoto like the 162mm or even 300mm should is the next best camera to have. It allows you to get close to a subject without having to be near it. You also get compression of the background instead of distortion from a wide angle. On the M3P, they should have put d-log on the 166mm instead of the 70mm. That 70mm is still to wide on a drone. There's already a wide angle. Maybe the next Mavic will have 4 cameras. 24, 70, 166, 300mm? haha
@@SouthernPacificPatch you’re trippin if you think any of the cameras these days are garbage lol. The 166mm takes great photos and videos. It just doesn’t have the versatility you’d get with when colorgrading.
@@houseofintent The images are generally quite soft, noisy and lack detail. Maybe video looks alright, but it’s certainly not a tool for any sort of serious photography. Can’t expect much out of a 1/2 inch sensor.
@@SouthernPacificPatch yeah, it could be better but to say it’s garbage is nonsense. It’s been working out for me for both video and photo. What kind of photography are you trying to use with it specifically?
The 3x is honestly my fav. The quality of it is next level and being able to still use the same colour profiles and active track is an added bonus. It will be a good upgrade for you 😊
I have the Mavic 3 classic, Mini 3 Pro , Air2S and Inspire 2 with X5S gimbal, and all the lenses , do you think the Mavic 3 Pro would be a better option for me? than the classic? I wouldn't be using them for travel since I have the Mini 3, just wondering if it would be worth upgrading to the Pro from the classic, with the fleet I already own.
Am in terested in the Mavic 3 pro for the reasons you've mentioned,. But I've heard that the zoom camera /feature has issues (works for video but not for stills). Also that some owners (during 2022-2023) complained about that specific camera on the Mavic 3 pro, is sometimes inoperable. Are those things still issues with the Mavic 3 Pro or have they been fixed?
I ordered the mavic 3 pro within 10 minutes of release once I confirmed the leaked specs. Then I added a mini 3 pro to be able to slip it into the same case. That way Ive got a backup when out in the field.
I would be more excited about the new Mavic 3 pro if each camera had a micro 4/3 sensor… for now I’m sticking to my mini 3 pro and Mavic 3 classic..🤔😃👍
@@DMProductions they could do it with one micro 4/3 sensor and have a wheel with three lenses internally on a wheel, a bit like 1960’s bbc TV cameras had on the out side, using clever optics the can reduce the length of each lens and have all this internally reducing the size of what is at the moment three cameras. So that’s three lenses internal on a motorised carousel . It’s all possible but would need R and D to achieve. But doing this would interfere a bit with their marketing for more expensive drone in their line up…. Maybe one day?…🤔
I have found a deal that would land me a Mavic 3 with a fly more kit, and a Pro controller. Is this still viable? I am new to drones and everything I see and read says to get a fly more kit. I know the Pro is a top controller, so that would be covered. Hopefully, you see this, I know this is an older video, but I would like to see what you consider this.
Actually, I will only keep the Mavic 3 Pro in this lineup... after insell my Mavic 3 and accessories. Know why? It stands above the rest. No, literally-it stands taller - at least when folded. Why do specs put them both at 107.7mm? Is it only taller when folded to keep the camera module off the ground/table etc? Im going to put them alongside each other when my Mavic 3 Pro arrives (Wednesday) Edit figured it out - rear motor supports are slightly taller
I am searching for a drone that I can use for a jobs. I own a avata but I need another drone for making content that I can sell. My plans are real estate and such jobs. I want to decide what drone is most capable of that. Any advice? I am leaning towards the m3 pro
@@DMProductions While filming or photographing I fly at 200 feet, which means that zooming in at 3x with the 24mm on the Mavic 3 Classic is perfect. A 3x zoom on a 70mm at that distance to me is pointless. However, this is all subjective and it comes down to what type of filming the operator is into.
I was expecting to see a comparison of image quality between the telephoto lens on the M3 and M3P. Given that the main camera hasn't changed, that's the only thing I'm paying attention to to decide if the Pro is worth the money. So this video is not really a comparison. It's just you talking about differences 😅
Can someone please make a real review video showing their image quality differences, especially with the 166mm lens? We all know the Mavic 3 Classic has one camera, the Mavic 3 has 2 cameras and the Pro has 3 cameras 😪
Another great video and good timing as I’ve been deciding which way to go! With either, can I buy the drone only and use it with my RC controller I have for my mini 3 pro?
Every time a new drone came out I had to have it. Then after four I was like wait a minute. I bought the Mavic 3 Classic n love it but now the pro? I think I’ll wait a few years. Anyone want to buy a FPV with the fixings contact me.
Sadly until we get someone to compete with dji that doesnt do the geofencing nonsense, we will likely always have to deal with it. Its absurd and the biggest thing I hate. I go through the steps to get faa approval, then I have to ask china for permission. They should at the very least give those of us with a part 107 or equivalent certificate, the geo zones unlocked. Yes, give us an alert for zones, but let us acknowledge them and fly. We will protect our certificates and wont be flying where we shouldnt.
Definitely the M3Classic is the one to go for if you are flying drones as a hobby. It will be very rare that you need the zoom-cameras (and if you do, just fly closer 😉) and they simply do not justify the much higher price of the M3pro. The original M3 might be obsolete as of now! You need zoom capabilities? Go for the M3pro. You don´t? Get the M3Classic. For video professionals that might be different but for hobby pilots the M3Classic is all you ever need...
Can you help me pick I'm new to these more expensive drones I really like the DJI mavic 3 pro so the difference in it and the classic is the pro can zoom that's it? What about video quality?
@@truthisweareallgonnadie.So in terms of video quality, they're all gonna be the exact same. They all feature the same sensor and camera in aperture control, which means that they are all going to produce a literally identical image. Now, that is for the main camera for the secondary or tertiary cameras that the Mavic, 3 in the mavic. 3 pro offer you lose quality exponentially. As you go up, for example, 7 times is only a 1 over 1/3 sensor if I'm not mistaken, so it's akin to the air 3's, and then if you go all the way up to the maximum zoom on the mavic, 3 pro, you can't shoot D log and you are limited to 12 megapixel photos as well. So you have to shoot baked in color and really. There's no purpose for that third lens, so I truly think either go for the mavic. Three or the mavic three classic, if you wanna get it new with a protection, in case you're afraid of well doing what all drone pilots do eventually, which is eating s***
II am disappointed that they did not just put a proper variable optical zoom on that 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera up to 7x and then it can switch to digital after that. If they had done that I would buy, maybe Autel can take advantage, also deliberate problems with DJI that prevent me from further buys from them is their flight restrictions and even that forced monthly connection to relog on the RC Pro otherwise more restrictions. This nearly spoilt my trip once and probably will return to DIY drones soon and sell off DJI stuff. At them prices I don’t want the drone turning into a useless lump if I don’t log in again (not even possible in a weak signal area) or am forced to upgrade firmware with yet more restrictions that DJI is not always even upfront with.
Thanks for your time! I'm still using my Mavic 2 Pro, mostly for photography. I looked at the new Mavic 3 with 7x zoom, but was hold back by the IQ of that. Now the Mavic 3 Pro might be a better choice for me, having the new 70mm. However how's the IQ compared with the M43 sensor with only 20MP vs the 48MP on a smaller sensor? Then there's the new rules in the EU where my A2 seems a waste of money because there's no drone that has the option of going 3 meter/sec to get closer to people and buildings. I guess that's not addressed by now? Last question, I assume the Mavic 3 Pro is released a short while ago, so a Mavic 4 will take a while? Thanks again!
Don’t let anything stop you from buying the Mav 3 not Pro, not Classic. was a photographer before becoming a drone pilot and am very happy with its zoom capabilities. You will be amazed!!! And impressed. Rent it or borrow one first to be convinced. Been flying since the Phantom 3, been around!! 😊😊
i've purchased a Mavic 3 classic only four weeks ago because that's what everyone was saying was the best option at the time . massive massive mistake . When I found out the Pro had come out I was absolutely gutted ... Now I'm having trouble selling it ..... I'm really angry with DJI because I had even spoken to them on the phone beforehand asking if there was a pro version coming out shortly and they told me " no " . Not Happy . None of this reflects on you or your RU-vid channel . information you have given is correct , and your videos are great 👍
Where did you get it from buddy ? Could you return it if it was on Amazon ? If not don’t worry If you don’t sell it you still have a fantastic drone and much cheaper than the pro
So my Pro comes Wednesday. My nice, beautiful sub 900 gram Mavic 3 is going on the market.. I should advertise it in Europe/UK market but shipping. It's a full Fly More, 5 batteries (may keep 2) Wide Angle Lens (DJI) Polar Pro Directors kit, and maybe the Exolander from FoxFury - then again... that will fit the new Pro, so maybe I'll hold onto that for rough terrain! I have every DJI released since Mavic Air 2 2019 except the two "downsized" models Mini 3 and Mavic 3 Ckassic. Not that theres anything wrong with those! Air 2S only still here to fly Insta360 Sphere camera, but I like that drone, for some odd reason.
@@DMProductions …there have already been two new iterations of the sensor with better sharpness, low light, and dynamic range. The IMX272 that the M3, M3C, and M3P use was released in 2017… it’s great, but it’s already long in the tooth compared to todays’ cameras.
I really like hlg but just normal is literally great , I’ll use d-log m when I want the very best quality but for majority of the time I’m in hlg or normal
I own the Classic. I read somewhere that the Classic only captures 4:2:0 vs 4:2:2 in the Pro. 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 are different methods of colour sampling during signal encoding. - 4:2:0 records less colour information than 4:2:2, which affects colour grading and edge transitions. 4:2:2 provides more flexibility for colour grading. Is this true? If the Classic only offers 4:2:0 can this be offered in firmware. Notice how I spelled color. Cheers!
I currently own a mavic 2 zoom and a mavic 3 classic 😁👍🏾 I still use the telelens on the zoom cause that drone is still amazing in my personal opinion 🤔👍🏾because of that I’m planning on getting getting the mavic 3 pro next year depending on future releases from DJI 🤔👍🏾 gonna start saving up from December onwards… planning on getting the mini 3 pro also for travel purposes next year 😅😁
I really want to figure out if I’m gonna do it, and if it’s a good idea… Sell the mavic for the used Inspire 2 & jailbreak it. Overtime I would upgrade to the X7 camera. I’m not sure I will even need to sell it now, it’s gotten much cheaper, but it’s a true beast. Mavic 3 pro vs Inspire 2?
Mavic 3 Pro Quality control is a big concern. At least for now. My brand new Mavic 3 Pro got frozen and streaky footages out of the main Hasselblad camera. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dBVKhcXtKCQ.html
Hey Brother I wanna Buy a drone which drone shall i go for? Mavic 3 or air 3 and i am getting mavic 3 with a very good deal air 3 is expensive. Recommend please
thank you for the video! I have a question... where can I compare a drone's capabilities based on the product number. As example: CP.MA.**** vs CP.EN.****
When did the uk change the laws to allow C1 classification from easa to apply here. I thought they walked that back and the easa C1 label means diddly shit unless you've an A2Cofc then you can have a bit more flexibility but still not as much as the C1 i Europe ? And we weren't adopting it Could you clarify that as im now confused
My son crash my Mavic 3 and it toast. Will the mavic 3 pro be compatible with the batteries and the rc pro controller? I was curious on this before just buy another one. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Given the price point, the government red tape, the bewildering array of options and the not wanting to support a Communist country, I have again this year decided to spend my dollars elsewhere. It was a good review.
