I don't understand what exactly do you do at 0:20 so that the axle rotor is working properly? I literally can't stress to say how angry I am that I can't get the mechanism together for the arm to open completely and close completely, it just stays opened half way...

The axle rotates 180 degrees due to the spring mechanism. You will rotate 90 degrees. and adjust the angle of the arm as in the video. then install the axle.
