Looking at DJI MIC for quick run and gun videography. I had some trouble getting the audio levels up, and had to boost in post. I have a lot to learn and thought I would share this mornings journey.
I bought the complete set and when I found out I only needed one mic I returned it and bought just one. The quality is very good. What I use it for is to include audio in the drone videos. Good video friend. I am sure that many asked themselves the question that you have just answered with your video.
Thank you, you are very welcome. Interesting subject, drone audio. My dji spark would record the audio on the phone. I really missed the feature with my Mavic Air 2. Have a wonderful week and thank you for watching and sharing.
So if you use this for vlogging using the internal storage you will have a separe audio file of course and you must do some lip sync while editing? Thinking to buy this but I want to avoid additional hassle.
Thank you for the video. It seems like when you record internally, the audio level is very low and even though you adjust it on the receiver the audio gain level stays the same when recording internally. I briefly heard from different RU-vid videos saying that internal recordings always get recorded -20db. Am I right? or is there another way to increase the level of internal recording?
I have been using it with my ZV-E10 and have not noticed it being low. I am guessing you are referring to use with a phone. I will check into it, I don't remember it being low. I have noticed it is low when using stand alone, probably because I think I have it at minus 3 or 4 to reduce clipping on my ZV-E10.
@@htnowpro I am actually talking about JUST using the transmitter to record internally without using any camera. So seems like you can only record low on the transmitter.... :(
@MichaelYoungKim that is what I am finding. I haven't seen any negative youtubers regarding this. I just got home, set the transmitter setting to plus 12, loaded a file and ran it in FCPX, and it is still on the low end, requiring it to be increased. Hope this helps.
@@htnowpro Thank you at least this confirms that my unit is not faulty. Looks like the internal transmitter only able to record it like a safety channel. Thank you again.
so if I just but the dji mic without the receiver, can I retrieve the recording from my android tablet, and then use those files to add to my drone footage?
Just wanna confirm, so we can purchase the transmitter only (I found out they are selling 1 transmitter separately, official online store) and use it as a standard mic recording using the internal storage?
Yes, they do work stand alone however ti make gain adjustments etc is done thru the reciever touch screen. There will be no way to make adjustments that I can think of. 🤔
@@htnowpro Is there any way to be able to change the settings of the transmitter if the receiver is broken? Is there an app or can we change the setting connecting to a computer?
