@@DJITutorials I agree, this is a set back that I feel lets down the DJI Mic Experience. Everything about this is fantastic and very user friendly, however it is a distraction especially when used for weddings and draws too much attention to the mics when they should be discreet and professional. I hope there is a further firmware update to have this as an option.

Hi, there. Sorry for the issue you encountered. Please check whether an adapter icon appears on the receiver’s OLED touchscreen after the mobile phone adapter has been attached. Please enable the software’s recording function and click the transmitter’s microphone to check whether the video waveform has changed synchronously.

I have same issue with note20 ultra. I have bought this last week, but when attach with fone it is not recording sound even i have reset reciver and both transmitter are linked still no sound at fone vdo.. kindly how to solve this

But, what do you mean by "enable the software's recording function"? Where? On Android? On the receiver? And how do I "check if the video waveform has changed synchronously"? What is "the video waveform" and what do you mean by "change synchronously"? I'm just an ordinary user. Could you please explain in layman terms? And... Is there a reason I get this problem with my Galaxy S22 Ultra and not with my S21 Ultra? I have this problem even after doing a factory reset on the phone. Thanks in advance.

@@MarioLunaNetKaizen I had this issue last night using the mic with an iPhone for the first time. What they mean is make sure the usb plug is connected to the receiver pack correctly - mine wasn’t pushed in all the way. Then when you open your recording app, make sure the mic wave form, or in this case, little green level line that indicates a signal and level, is in sync with the phone’s level. Depending on the app, you should see some sort of audio level indicator on your screen. That’ll ensure the signal is getting through your phone. It’s also important to note that once that is happening you don’t actively have to record anything on the mic pack as the audio is passing through directly to your phone, but I would recommend doing so anyway for better audio quality, especially if you haven’t worked out some decent gain settings yet. My iPhone for example tends to be noisy at anything below +6 on the transmit pack. If the receiver isn’t connect properly, you can still see the levels on the receiver but the audio won’t pass through to the phone.

I found the same thing, but you do not have to open the bin files, you just drag them into the Root file on the mics and they magically do their thing.

you can adjust the gain on each transmitter individually. When you plug a lav mic into them, it turns off the internal mic and (to my understanding) your gain control that was set for that transmitter now applies to the mic you plugged in. Regardless, it offers MUCH more control than the Rode does. One issue I've run into so far though is that with poorly shielded lavalier mic cables (like the Rode lav Go as a specific example), you end up getting high pitched RF interference from the transmitters and receiver. I haven't tested to see if there's any improvement with this firmware update but I get the idea that it's not especially fixable. I'll update if I learn anything new.

@@ebedelohim514 Update: no dice with the firmware update fixing that, but I knew it was a long shot to begin with. The youtube channel Stewart and Alina has a great video breaking down some nice lav mics that can be used effectively with the DJI Mic. I only got the DJI Mic today but honestly after doing a bunch of tests and updating the firmware, I'm quite happy with my purchase.

You can already do that. Either by pressing record on the transmitter alone or by leaving the receiver in the charge box.

Hi there, may I confirm if you're referring to the DJI Mic transmitter? You can connect the transmitter to PC and delete audio files of DJI Mic transmitter. If formatting is required, it can be formatted via the receiver.

@@DJITutorials Yes on the transmitters. When I plug them into the charging case it shows I have less hours of internal storage even though I took the files off the transmitters. So you're saying I have to update the firmware each time to get a "true" reset of the internal storage?

hi! i erased them (receiver and trasmitters) with the disk utility app on mac, and they are back to 15 hrs of storage, hope it helps!

You can use the 3.5mm camera cable to connect DJI Pocket 2 Do-It-All Handle with DJI Mic receiver.

i too just updated my firmware and I am having this exact issue. Only one transmitter of the two, can connect. very frustrating that the firmware has caused this. They were working perfectly fine prior to making the update

@@markjennison1 yes, I ended up having to send it in to DJI for servicing. Fortunately, it was still under warranty. There was no cost for shipping or repairs. It works perfectly now.

Im having the same issue when recording directly to the receiver mic. and trying to sync it in post. using Dji Wireless and Sony a7iv

Hi there, please record in a quiet environment and check whether there is noise in the recorded audio. If not, it can be determined that ambient sounds are recorded. If yes, please try to use DJI Mic transmitter on-board recording for audio recording and see if there is noise in the audio. If not, there is noise during transmission. You don't open the file on your Mac. Just download it, and drag-and-drop it into the connected device.

Use the provided USB-C cable to connect the receiver and transmitter to PC respectively. 3. Place the downloaded firmware (.bin file) to the root directory of the transmitter and receiver. 4. Disconnect from PC, and the transmitter and receiver will automatically update the firmware. Note: If firmware update fails, download the firmware again and place it to the corresponding folder. Restart the transmitter or receiver, and the issue can be resolved. If not, try performing steps mentioned above multiple times.

It's what happened to me as well. I got a replacement and didn't do the firmware update.

It bricked your transmitter. Done the same thing to mine. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to work through it with tech support.

@@billhillock8971 Im also working with "support" they are real pain to work with.. they have asked for Videos showing the issue, pictures, reciepts, serial numbers, more pictures more explanatios and still no fix or replacement 🤬

I am curious as well.

This happens often when recording a couple of mic’ed talents - they tend to look at one another and the recorded signals end up phasing one another out. They sound fine separately, but mix ‘em together and suddenly the whole production just sounds weird. No, you don’t have to cut and paste (you’re on the right track, but that’s way too much work) - poke around until you find a piece of software that will reverse (or invert) the phase and do that to one channel only. Then, when you mix them together, it should sound more natural.

@@66skybluepony thank you for that reply I will look into it. On a side note though I’ve just purchased some shure lav mics so I’ll be plugging them into the dji mics and testing that out. Can’t believe I’ve had to buy mics to plug into mics 🙈🙈🙈🙈 when does this buying malarkey end 😩

I am using premier pro...other than make the stereo tracks from separate mics to a single mono...I don't know what else to do in order to remove that "ghost sound from the other mic". Is there a plugin, effect?

In my experience the background noise (hiss) is due to the camera (over 3.5mm cable) pre amp. To fix - add gain to the TX and RX and decrease rec level on camera. On some older cameras - noise can be present due to poor shielding. My Sony ZV-1 gets perfect audio (no hiss). Hope this helps.

I reached out to the sales and support team a couple of times since DJI Mic was released just let me buy one mic because I need it for my work but I got no result. While I am mainly buying every new release of DJI products that serve my business I felt disappointed after DJI failed to allow me to get one device that i needed the most.

@@DJITutorials If you want a safe and simple fix for this issue that forces a maintenance on the batteries you should do the following: Create a Battery Maintenance Flight Mission Plan that is on every aircraft that offers flight mission planning. The flight mission should just be a sensor read setup that shows a clear 360° surrounding and clear surrounding of 20ft and only allows the aircraft to fly to an altitude of 5-ft and hover only until the battery's are showing a 15% charge or less and then lands. It's that simple. Obviously the aircraft can be landed early and the mission should be pauseable by the UAS pilot but it is a simple solution that only requires a basic mission plan setup by the DJI engineers team. It takes 11-hrs on idle to drain the batteries by just letting the M300 sit waiting to die. That isn't good for the M300 or the users time. I need these to make a living and don't have 13hrs plus another 24hrs to let them sit prior stationary and another 6hrs to let them stand post charging for another hour. It basically takes 46hrs to fully reset a battery this way and should never be the case. Just setup a battery maintenance flight mission like I recommended and it's a fixed issue.
