10K is the range for the signal. It doesn't mean that the drone will make it that far on the battery. In fact, it won't. The point of the 10K information is to tell you how secure the connection is for the transmitter.
@@matthewfontaine9714 Sorry but you are totally wrong. They do travel further over water. Climate conditions cause enhanced propagation of signals due to the water changing the surface of the air above it.
Actually it can go farther there is another guy that was out of the country did a range test one way. He got like 11,000 meters about 6 miles away. He kept updating the home point so that it wouldn't try to fly all the back to him. Also if you would of been in normal mode you would of gotten farther. The drone in whatever mode you are in figures how much battery it needs to get back to home point. You also have to really take into account for the wind when you fly. If you are going long with the wind behind you, and try coming back against the wind you could definitely run short on battery. Pretty scenery there.
Hey, thanks for watching. The reason I went in that direction was because it's a straight line over water without going over houses. Plus it's a good view for the audience. It worked out anyways. Have a good one👍🏽
Just a tip... Fly into the wind and back home with the wind. Also if you cancel the return to home it can fly 10k one way, it just won't make it back, so land it in a safe spot where you'll be able to retrieve it... That's how I did it
@@markg999 that is a great suggestion but I got lucky and was able to land manually. I had someone there waiting for it. Ocusync really has amazing range. I also did it in a forested area.

@@jayodon67 I absolutely love it, not had many flights over the last couple of weeks due to horrendous weather here in Ireland. Any dry calm day we have I get the drone out. Had only one moment of panic when I had my first fly away but manage to get the drone down safely.

I live near the coast in Western Australia, in the mornings it's usually nice and calm but by the afternoon the seabreeze comes in almost religiously! I am impressed with how stable and capable the drone is in the wind.

I flew mine 8.65 the other day with a full 3 turn a rounds..means stopping and going back to repeat flights..if i could had held signal long enough i believe i could ma ke 10 kilometers in one run in very calm wind
This is great but nowhere close to 10km in distance from the remote not 10km round trip, 5km one way. I want to see a video that it can prove it can go 10km away from the remote, that’s what DJI claims that it can do.
I don't recommend range tests over water. It may be highly dangerous in case when emergency landing.. Battery may be drained quickly when RTH triggered.. I dont fly more than 3 km over water with full battery.. And sport mode consumes battery more and more.. Here in Türkiye, there are guys sending this drone to 7 km away, but they do it over lands and takes their own security..
Great video. Awesome scenes. Just got a mini 2. I had a Holystone and was a big let down which makes me afraid of taking it out more than a few hundred feet.
Only 500 ft? Should go way further than that, even in a high interference area. Have you tried putting the drone in 5.8 gigahertz? Also, are you in FCC or CE?

How did you check the wind direction first? Does it automatically calculate with wind direction taken into account? If you fly out 4km with the wind, and then try to fly back against it....? Scary stuff.

Nice test brother! You are brave. I have a Fimi drone and a Parrot 2. I might try and do a mod so I can run any battery I want on my Fimi. The batts are always the weak link. Well done bro.💪
@@IRequireMedication the mini 2 still gets interference in built up areas. I have heard of people complaining before about not getting very far with the mini 2 and air 2 in high interference areas.

How much battery did you have when you landed? I saw someone get 5km with the original mavic air but they landed at 0%. I thought that you would get a bit further than that since the mini 2 has much better battery life and range than the air 1. Great video though👍

Doesn't bother you that the gimbal is not holding the horizon line leveled, like @2:05, 3:05, 7:10 ? I have same issue, is more clear when moving side way, I might send it back for check/repair.
I just blew $800ish on amazon on the kit with three batteries. Probably stupid, but fuggit. My truck I sold paid for it, that's what I'm telling myself anyway.
Would the 144001rc car tires fit a a959b? Do the 14001 tiers have foam and are they soft? I'm really just looking of a little wider and bigger tire with soft tire compound and foam inside for my a959b. Do you have any suggestions of a tire upgrade for an a959b?
@@torontorc4637 the stock tires slipped too much when you take a turn and decelerate at the same time so I'm just looking for a tire with the most amount of grip. Do the a979 tires grip well?
Quick question u recorded in 4k at 30fps why isn't the picture crisp? Like when I'm trying to improve quality it won't allow me to go 1440...non the less u have balls of steel.. I'd shit myself doing this with my drone... Keep it up mate..
The picture you saw was the screen recording at low resolution. I accidentally turned off the 4k video recording. I was scared when it was out that fast! Have a good one 👍🏽
Only 2 km? I have seen people get 5km with the mavic air 1 and it's a wifi based drone....have u tried putting it in 5.8 gigahertz? Also, if you are in ce mode that will also make a difference
