What do you mean when you say crappy footage? What frame rate are you filming in, what color profile are you using? Do you use ND filters when filming? Share a bit more details, so it will be easier to advise.

Hi Dawid. A1/A3 is ok for the locations which i have in this video. My settings are always the same. D-Cinelike, sharpness -1, noise -2, 4k25fps, shutter speed 1/50sec, ISO 100 or 500. When i need higher ISO i try to set it to 500 as this is second gain for Mini 3 Pro sensor. It;'s a bit tricky but if you use expo compensation and then lock the exposure you can set it to 500. Hope it helps.

Hi, this was D-Cinelike graded in FCPX.

Hi! Here the light was not that bad, but it’s the best to film during blue hour. I also use ISO500 which seems to be second gain (not sure if this is thw right term). Finally if i need to denoise i use Neet Video plugin for FCPX. For exporting i use standard h264 export settings from FCPX.

Turn the sharpness and noise reduction to -2. It seems counterintuitive, but I just tested it at dusk with both set to 0 or -2, and there was actually WAY less noise (basically none) at -2. It's usually best to adjust those things in post anyway.

During the bluehour and at night i don't use any filter. I need as much light as possible.

First of all don;t fly at pure dark. Better to get the footage during the blue hour. i have some videos where i provide few details about the settings i use.

Ji, i’m using Final Cut Pro. But u can use any app to edit the footage.

Hi, the main thing is that i tried to fil yet in the blue hour. The ISO i keep 100 or 500 and the rest is 25fps, 1/50sec, custom WB. Noise reduction set to -2 and sharpness to -2. Profile D-cinelike. Hope it helps

Hi. For night shots you don’t use any filter. You need as much light as possible and any nd filter will block the light. They shoulb be used during the day only.

hahahaha. Oczywiście, około 6 godzin na dobę, w weekendy nawet około 7 ;)

If you do it in very dark environment then it will be definitely too dark. If you look here, i'm filming in sunset and blue hour. Even if in late night there is still a lot of city light, so sensor can capture it. I'm also using D-Cinelike profile plus second ISO circuit - 500. In addiotion i reduce sharpness and noise reduction at least to -1. If needed i also do noise reduction in postproduction. hope it helps.

The key is not to fly to late and not to do heavy edits in postproduction.
