This is a awesome drone for any beginners or people wanting their first drone - check it out here click.dji.com/AGqo48EuatEFY9gr-06b0g?ch=launch-mini3-dmproductions&pm=custom
Other than the camera, is this worth getting over the mini TWO? (Some of us just like the FLYING of the drone as opposed to the photography aspect! ) In other words what I'm asking is ... does this have the transmission problems that the MM3 Pro CONTINUES to have for some people?
I don't know why people keep saying it's quiet enough not to be heard or noticed. I can clearly hear my Mini 3 Pro RC hovering or going by @ 200 foot high and 100 foot distance. It's probably more quiet than many others but the claim is exaggerated unless there's a lot of other background noise.
Another great video Darren. I think a few people are picking up on the real difference between the Mini 2 and Mini 3 is the camera/gimble. Makes the mini2 fly more combo as a really good deal..
So glad to watch this. I just bought the mini 3 fly more combo and was beginning to think I’m too novice as a kite is the closest I’ve come to flying anything. I hope the instructions are clear and non-Chinese. It’s not actually delivered yet. “Perfect entry level drone” is just what I need to hear right now. Thanks!
You overlook the fact that the Mini 3 Pro can now be bought with the Fly More kit and RC controller for just £899 in the UK. This makes the Mini 3 pricing of £828 not so good
Hey Darren, I can’t go wrong following all your tips and videos. I’ve been following you for 50 years and my flying is just getting better. I might be a bit slower than most, but at least I have the chance to stop and start your videos. Phew, I thought you were going to mention my accident with the glue. Lucky I have 2 years refresh lol. 😅 you take care my friend. Merry Christmas bud ❤
@@DeansDrones I was cleaning and servicing my mini 3 pro on the table. My grandson and wife were model making on the other side. I went to the loo to comeback and find glue tipped into my controller. I rushed to grab it but I’m disabled and knocked the drone on the floor landing on its gimbal. I got onto DJI refresh, they said to send them in. They sent me a brand new sealed drone, but charged me for the repair of the controller. They fitted new joysticks which were glued solid, and a new top cover on the controller. They said it wasn’t covered for glue, but gave me 50% off the cost of repair for good will. My bill I think was £69. I thought Darren might have mentioned it, but he’s too good lol
@@wallygargett1180 OMG sorry I shouldn’t laugh lol. Yes DJI refresh is a must they replaced my drone after a giant seagull decided he didn’t like my drone lol
thanks D arre for another great video the mini 3 is a nice drone bought a mini 3 pro a few moth ago looking for my next drone to be the mavic 3 classic or air 2s have a happy holiday
I've just bought the mini 3 Pro last week, after years of wanting one. Glad I went with the pro with the fly more kit, rc screen and an sd card for just over £1k I think it's a proper piece of kit. For the price it's on, I think the mini 2 is still a good deal at £350 less. Put that 350 quid for the next upgrade in a couple of years. #djicarerefresh
I agree with you if you want something more professional you need to get te super mini 3 PRO and is not entry level because is called pro . You know what I think is a great drone pro or not pro and they are expensive for what it is
I think if you want to get into drones, spend the extra $200 for the pro - really just for the extra crash sensors! That has to be, for beginners espeically, a very important feature.
So, is the Mini 3 effectively a Mini 3 Pro frame/motors/props/battery using Mini 2 electronics (O2, 4K30, 100Mbps, less Quickshot options, no OA etc), but with a Mini 3 Pro camera (excluding the bits the Mini 2 electronics can't handle)?
As you mentioned the mini 3 and 3 pro is considered as an 'entry level drone' , as its sub 250g and now regulated - I have a question good fellow and will follow. With being regulation by the caa, the cost of > of 250g has fallen to the floor and < 250g has gone through the roof. If the mini 3 is an entry level drone, military drones go beyond that level My question is:. What is your level ~
Darren such an awesome video as always ;) do you have an electronic scale ? I’m curious how many more grams they reduced from the Mini 3 body (with battery removed from the driver body) compared with the weight of the Mini 3 Pro body (again without the battery) I remember that the Mini 2 with the battery was 238g compared to Mini 1 247g but but I’m just curious for the new Mini 3 :)
Hi DM greetings I love ya reviews I've watching your videos for a while. I've ordered one that I've done some savings for sometime now. I want to find out if does accept third party apps for active tracking and hoper laps? Welbeck from Accra Ghana Stay blessed and safe all the time Amen
I think this is DJI's idea of an upgraded Mini 2. Kinda like the Mini 2 SE came before The Mini 3 Pro. Soo maybe DJI is coming out with a new Mini drone for 2023?
#djicarerefresh thanks! Your videos have been very informative and helpful when deciding on purchasing our families very first drone this holiday season. The wife really wanted the obstacle avoidance of the 3pro but $$$ lol. However after watching this video, I had a case for pulling the trigger on the base mini 3. Look forward to seeing more of your reviews so we can get good at this new hobby.
#DJIcarerefresh Thank you for shooting this video, i just received the drone as a gift and didn’t realise there was built in modes and portrait options! An awesome piece of technology, thanks!
People always say get the fly more kit.... but do most people really three batteries or willl two do just fine for most people? think the lader will be fine for most people.
Good review. This a perfect entry level drone for someone who has $469 to piss away. If you are entry level, a $299 mini se is better, because if something goes wrong (which it will) you can buy another one, without feeling so financially embarrassed. .
#DJICareRefresh For the comparison video, please include HDR video of Mini 3 compared to 10 bit flat profile of the Pro version. This is the only compromise that worries me, other than that I now have gear acquisition syndrome again.
Hello DM. Mini 2 owner here. I'm looking to upgrade to a Mini 3 (Non Pro) I would like to purchase just the M3 and just 1 extra battery! Do you know if this is an option and if so, how much? Thank you.
# care refresh. I bought myself an Air 2 S. So my kit is now exactly what you had when I first started watching your channel. This new Mini 2 is a great deal. Basically the true successor of the Mini 2, which I still have and intend to fly for as long as it will last. The Air 2 S will be for some commercial work and wherever it's allowed to fly it. The Mini is perfect for travel and breaking (minor) rules at 5 am.
I just bought a mini 3 pro about a month ago lol. this looks great but i dont think id want to part ways with the obstacle avoidance. Thats very important for me.
I like the options now specially with hard times making owning one so much more reachable and with care refresh it won’t be so scary if you kids want to get involved #djicarerefresh
Good well balanced video Darren, I think I will probably go for the pro version personally. But I’m going to send the link to a few friends who are looking to start out with drone flying. #djicarerefresh
