Actually, its good enough for commercial use. I’ve used it for Real Estate, inspection and events. No one has ever said, “oh, I don’t like it, you didn’t use a Mavic Pro”. You really have to pixel peep in order to see the difference. I sold my Mavic 3 Pro because I do not use it.
As a mavic 3 pro owner and mini 3 pro owner, the mavic 3 pro is way out of the mini 4 pro league. Sure I don't have the mini 4 pro, but that's just a mini 3 pro with 360 ao. The mini 3 pro is fine as it is cause I don't need 360 ao. The mavic 3 pro gets use more often cause it can withstand higher winds and better quality videos, better night time recording, zoom in from higher.
@@johnrambo1349this is true, but for every day use, 1-3 min clips and stills, the Mini Pro 4 is more than good enough for personal and professional use.
I made the great decision to get myself the DJI Mini 4 pro and wow I love it. It is the first drone I have ever owned and I'm glad about that because the safety sensors have saved me more than once. I was a bit hesitant at first because it cost near to $2000 with extra batteries etc but after taking the risk and buying it I must say you get what you pay for and this drone has it all. You would have to work hard to crash this thing. So far I couldn't speak more highly about it 👍
Purchased my Mini 4 Pro Plus Combo the moment it released. I concur with your assessment. My first drone was the Phantom 2 Vision+. $1359 for the drone with RC, 2 batteries, & charger. The performance & feature set you get with the Mini 4 Pro is outstanding. It is my personal favorite of the 13 different DJI drones I own.
I have two drones: the Mavic 3 Pro and the Mini 4 Pro. The Mini 4 Pro is so small and light that, whenever I go out, I can take both my Mavic 3 Pro and my spare Mini 4 Pro to use if the Mavic battery runs out. I think both these drones are SIMPLY AMAZING, and when reviewing the footage side-by-side, there is not that much of a difference. I only got the Mavic 3 Pro because the Mini 4 Pro is 35mph, and the Mavic 3 Pro is 47mph, which could be useful for tracking fast moving animals or vehicles, plus the Hasselblad camera system is very good at recording videos with lots of movement without to much motion blur, maintaining a crisp and clear video in every frame, but honestly, if you are on a budget, just go for the Mini 4 Pro. Only £690 and it's really the best Mavic 3 Pro alternative, and you are still getting 4K 60fps, and all the safety features like obstacle avoidance.
I agree. I think the Air 3 is like a blend between the Mini 4 Pro and the Mavic 3 Pro: two cameras, 360 degree obstacle avoidance, higher top speed, and O4 transmission.
True, but personally, I prefer the Mavic 3 Pro. It is too luxurious, very premium, and a pleasure to fly. P.S I don't actually own an Air 3, I've only flown my friends one, so I might be automatically drawn to my own drones because I own them and I can fly them whenever I want.@@morrish044
Thanks I appreciate the info! I’m not on a budget but I think I’m still going to go with the mini 4 pro just for the factor of size in my bag and it’s quieter witch makes it draw less attention when around people.
@@NickBr4ndon True, also, if you have a drone over 250g (like the Mavic 3 Pro), you need get registration for it and get a flying license, which requires a flying test, and some people might fail the test, whereas with the Mini 4 Pro (
I e just done the test, it’s pretty easy. Glad I have got for the mini pro 4 as it can be used almost anywhere. Being in a city it would be pretty difficult to stay at least 50m away from people. Something that is not clear is using follow modes whilst cycling. The rules say you can fly a drone whilst performing an activity like cycling, technically the drone would be driving itself in follow mode but you are still responsible for keeping people safe so a bit of a grey area. The test is easy enough, mostly common sense and multiple choice as well. I assume if you go beyond a1 to a3 the tests get tougher but I guess they are for commercial use.
Thanks for the good review. I’ve been thinking of a drone for some time now, but held off because I’m a first timer, not sure what to buy. The job is to over see cattle on pasture, monitor water holes and fences on a few thousand acres. River valley with lots of trees - northern Canada. DJI mini 4 looks like a good choice.
Yeah, it really is. And since you say you are "a first timer", the Air 3 or Mavic 3 Pro might not be the best choice. Since they are over 250g, you will have to get them registered to fly in public spaces. While registering, you will take a flying test, and since you are a beginner, you don't want to risk failing the flying test and not getting your license, so just go for the Mini 4 Pro. It's like under £690 and you are still better than a Phantom 4 Advanced, plus no registration required. I'll just give you a piece of advice, NEVER buy the DJI FPV😂.
Good review. I appreciate your insight into what is to be gained between the Mini 3 Pro and the Mini 4 Pro. Since I have the Air 3, given your observations, there is no need to “upgrade” to the Mini 4 Pro. Cheers.
I am owning an Avata since last X-mas and because it's really noisy I think about purchasing a Mini4 Pro. You really stand out with the Avata although it is a great FPV-Beginner drone.
I was thinking of getting a drone for my fishing youtube channel. Will this drone be able to follow a boat with the active track feature? I was also wanting to try to get it to see me as I am catching and fighting fish. I am curious of these things because alot of the time I will not have someone to fly it and it will just be me trying to get the shot.
You mentioned that the Mini 4 is 'much much' quieter, how much quieter is this than the mavic 2's? or Mavic 3 Pro for that matter. I've read that the Mini 4 Pro is about 53db and Mavic 2 zoom is about 75 db, but pulled these #'s from separate posts and haven't heard for myself.
I have the Autel Nano plus and the Air 3. I’m almost always flying that air3 now. More stable, more flight time, better 2 camera options, etc. it’s not that big either. I used to travel internationally with my old phantom 3.
First of all, I liked and subscribed. My first drone was a HS 360 which crashed too many times, RIP. I am on the edge of just buying this amazing drone! The cinematic, slow mo reminds me of a Frank Darabont production. Is flight time ok? Omni Directional Avoidance is everything to me... too many Evergreen trees hit from the past! Thank you for this great video.
If I buy this.....and fly it from home recreationally....do I need to register it? I live out in the country...no airport... Can I fly it unregistered? Will people be able to locate me and my drone thru a drone scanner app? Do I EVER need to update firmware? Can DJI just brick my drone if i don't update it?..... I don't want to spend $1,000 on a drone that I'm basically "leasing" that they still have control of........
Is this worth buying in this month maybe April? I don’t care if a new one will be out in 6 months more worried about the DJI ban? Also would it be better to get the fly more plus or just the fly more? I know the bigger batteries run about 95 bucks each and smaller are about 65 each,
I don't believe DJI will get banned. So yes, in my opinion it's a great buy. I don't personally think the plus batteries are such a necessity as the weight becomes over 250gr. and you get a ton of battery life with the regular 3 batteries too. So yeah - go for it!
Very different drones for different reasons. Can't really say without knowing how you fly and what you need the drone for. Give me a bit more info and i'll try to help!
Just got mine yesterday, shame its raining in london for the next 2 weeks 😭 With the LUT's, is it really as simple as drag and drop on footage? I know zero abour colour grading. Cheers! Subbd.
Thank you for sharing. I would love to take you up on your offer about how you use the various ND filters to get the most with your drone shots. Ed W., Nova Scotia, Canada
I just bought the fly more combo with the intelligent batteries n the smart remote. But I really want the avata with the goggles. So I may have to sell it n get the avata.. I really love it but I want to experience the fpv goggles .. an I blew my budget so I can buy the goggles an remote for my mini 4
@@DroneSupremacycorrect me if I'm wrong, but if you're 900m up in the Lake District on top of a mountain, flying a drone away from a peak over a valley means it is then often more than 120m above the ground...which isn't allowed. The drone limit is set at 120m from your home point.
Don't get your argument. Exactly if you travel/climbing/biking in the mountain you don't want to fill up more than your half backpack with a heavy drone like the AIR3 or the a Mavic Pro3 -just in case😅 ...Especially in the mountains the Mini Pro 4 is the best fit ...but it can only fly 120m 😢 - luckely I have removed my C0 sticker before 2024
@@DroneSupremacy Sure, if you are in Nederland etc. I totally agree, but in countries with mountains (like Austria I am from) it is the biggest dealbreaker you can imagine :D. I have removed the C0 label (official over DJI) before 2024, so I can fly it still over 120m
I would get an AIR if it would have 430g like the first version again. ...Don't get this massive gap between 249g Mini Pro 4 and 720g of the AIR3 ...400g would be the sweet spot for most people! DJI!!!!
I have the Autel Nano plus and the Air 3. I’m almost always flying that air3 now. More stable, more flight time, better 2 camera options, etc. it’s not that big either. I used to travel internationally with my old phantom 3.
@@Reviews4fun1 I never ever would have traveled with my Phantom 3 pro :D I have the AIR 3 at work and I would not take this bird just in case (like my Mini 4 Pro) on a mountaintop. For a professional shoot, I would take a Mavic 3 Pro (Sensor size + RAW). The only reason to buy an AIR3 (private) over a Mini 4 Pro is you don't travel/bike a lot with it, live in a windy area like the ocean, or have hobbies like Kite Surfing, etc.
Well, if the 250g threshold was 400g instead, rest assured the Mini 4 Pro would be 399g. It's just compliance to regulations which are common to many countries.
@@olabergvall3154 I talk about a Mini 4 Pro on Steroids with C1 Certification - which is a good category because you can fly higher than 120m and need only the online license.
