15:18 moaning about flight time? Think back 10 years to the Phantom mk1 when you had to basically guess how long the 2200MaH battery might last and actually properly keep an eye on your machine to check for the red warning light before it lost power. What DJI have packed into the Mini 4 Pro is nothing short of amazing.
Kai is a superb reviewer. I've been following him for quite a long time, since the beginnig of his DSLR review days in the other channel he worked with. For a long time I was waiting for a small yet the "perfect" small drone and now that Kai says "Finally it's the best beginner drone", I am going to buy it.
That happened to me with a Phantom 3 Battery low bringing it in to land , Next thing it shot up like the Millennium falcon jumping to light speed into the only tree in a acre site 😭. The only problem now is whether to wait till this time next year and see if the Mini 5pro does 8k 30
Now let me ask you what ON EARTH do you think you’re ever gonna do with 8K? Even 4K is borderline overkill for consumers. I know professional (Hollywood) folk who don’t even see the need for 8K; are you Chris Nolan under a pseudonym? 😂
@@unlokia Well other than I enjoying seeing the highest definition possible and it would be cool to pack that power into a Drone of this size and weight . Now that Dji is more or less the biggest Drone Company I'd rather see a leap in their technology than going Apple . Btw I am Michael Bay 🤐

Here I am watching this and I have a Mavic Air 1 that still rips. I think it is fair to question DJIs product lines now. Why go for anything else with this type of output from the Mini and flight time?
As a new AARP member growed up workin, drinkin, shootin, and muddin yall think I could run one these copters? Looks as fun as a night in the barn with my sister
yeah this is not good content to watch if the goal is to know about the performance of the drone or comparission with the others... what a miss oportunity Kai your content is quite trash nowadays, messing around and showing absolutly nothing about the product.
the mini 3 pro shouldn't even have existed at all.. DJI is just releasing bit by bit features that already existed long ago.. so if you have a m3p, m4p ain't worth upgrading unless it's your starter drone or from mini 2
Yeah from the Mini 3 Pro the upgrade is small, I guess that will be left for the "Mini 4 Pro" but overall nice. Not sure if it is worth the price hike though, especially since waypoints are supposed to come to the Mini 3 Pro too. I got the Mini 3 Pro with the 1st gen RC for 729€, just a few weeks ago and would not even be mad if this was just 799€.
Why can’t some clever person find a way to fit a SOLAR PANEL to entire top surface, so that if the drone is a long way away and out of battery, it can land for a while and recharge enough to fly back?
Probably coz solar panels charging efficiency is in the mid to low 20's. Even if the drone is fully covered, it will take a full day to get 5 minutes of flight time.
With such a small surface area it would probably take more energy to lift the extra weight of the solar panel than the solar panel would provide, so you would ultimately end up with less flight time.
I’m Christiaan, from South Africa 🇿🇦. An airline pilot by trade and have recently rediscovered my interest for photography. Love your honest opinion and open minded reviews and the overall feel of your channel. Keep up the great work. May I kindly ask for your advise please, I would like to start posting photos of my flying trips, from the flight deck, to outside the aircraft as well as around the airport and landscapes from the different regions I visits. A cellphone camera I feel is too limiting and a full DSLR is too big, also I want to start a blog and post photos and then sell copies of the photos. So quantity is important and size for prints. I realize this is a steep order and request. What type of compact / travel camera would you recommend? Between canon and say Fuji? Then potentially only one lens as my first priority is the responsibility of the crew, passengers, the aircraft and safety of the environment so I don’t want to changes lenses etc. 18-55? Might be bulky… Thank you for your time in reading my email, I look forward to your feedback and suggestions. Blessed regards
I’m holding off purchasing this drone(newbie)to let others iron out the inevitable teething issues…Also I’m wondering with a fixed f1.7 aperture, will you be constantly pulling this drone down to change the ND filters during daylight hours?
A pro in this case would be someone primarily looking for high image quality sparing no expense. An influencer is more interested in telling a story and image quality is secondary to just getting "the shot".
I have one HUGE issue with this drone. Max. height is now limited at 120m due to the new EU regulations starting in January 2024. So that's a huge limit for people that want to fly the drone in the mountains. With the DJI Mini 3 Pro you can still set it at 500m which makes it possible to fly up a hill (while perfectly staying within the 120m AGL laws) and reach the top. With the DJI Mini 4 Pro this doesn't work anymore. If you take off from the valley or somewhere in the middle, you can't fly up to the top. You aren't breaking any laws, the drone will just stop 120m above your take off point. Eventhough you are very close to the ground. Doesn't this make the DJI Mini 4 Pro basically useless for people in mountain regions?
Where did you take this from? I just read through the EU Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947, which is the official publication , and I could not find anything that refers to the starting point. It only refers to 120 m above ground. No special regulation for C1
That’s not true, yes the classification C0 prohibits higher than 120 meters however, the max altitude mini 4 pro can be set at us 500 meters. If you are at a height above 120 meters your altitude will be measured depending on what class area you’re in the ALG will be measured from ground level of home point. Please don’t broadcast incorrect information ask DJI support. I am in US and have safely tested altitude settings higher the 120 meters.
@@Expprods thatˋs what I thought. The same happened a few weeks ago when there was an update for the Mini 3 Pro. Panic and misinformation. You asked DJI, I read the official EU Regulation document both much better sources than those hoaxes.
It's not racist to ask for clarification if someone is difficult to understand. But on the flipside, I don't think Lok is difficult to understand if you try. And asking for retroactive subtitles on a video that has already been created in a comment does seem like complaining for the sake of complaining. Just try harder.
If we have learned anything from marketing it is "if you have to stick something like 'pro' or 'professional' in the product name it is most definetely something that actual professionals would not use"
@@benson5967 You are right, I was thinking more about powertools and the like. Go into any hardware store, and even the cheapest, crappiest tools all say "pro" on them. But you see it less on the "higher end" tool brands. As if the manufacturers specifically want to say "hey, this is cheap, but don't worry, it aint one of those 'amature' tools"
I hear exactly the pretentious aspirations you allude to. However, for another viewpoint, a “professional” is someone *of their profession* - if I became a car washer tomorrow, I’d be a professional car washer, as it’s my profession. Pedantry aside, yeah, they do it to ego massage people into opening their wallets 😂
Footage wise not much difference the camera gimbal does decent job to stabilize the footage . The Air 3 is a lot more stable in windy condition quite easy to hand launch / catch. Hand catch MINI3 PRO in strong wind can be challenging / dangerous in strong gusty wind.
£460 for the Fly More kit on the original mini when I got mine in 2020. Now best part of £1000 for the same kit on the new drone. Not exactly beginner prices for this “beginner drone”.
