Are you planning on buying a new action camera but can't figure out which one to get?
In this video, I'm sharing my thoughts on the DJI Osmo Action 3 and its capabilities in image quality, stabilization performance, and other factors that are good to know before making the decision. I'm also sharing my thoughts on the DJI Mic System.
I'm also comparing it to its rival GoPro Hero 11 in some parts of the video.

I like that its as solid as a rock and like vlogging cam in its camera quality. DJI paid attention to lots of details to make the Action 3 a truly reliable rugged recorder.

I'm so torn between the action 3 and hero 11. The price and the adventure combo pack, especially with that loading accessory, sounds really really useful. The magnetic lock sounds super convenient. But then, every time I see both image qualities compared, the action 3 image is a bit to low quality. Its just not quite cutting it for me :/

Great Video!! Don't buy the DJI Osmo Action 3 unless manufactured after 10/22!! Trying to save you some frustration!! I have had to send 2 DJI Osmo Action 3 cameras back so far!! My first camera was manufactured 9/22 and the camera that DJI sent me was a manufacturing date of 10/22. Both had mushy video. You would think that DJI would have sent me a camera that wasn't from the bad batches (9/22 and 10/22) which has been reported on RU-vid from many creators. I finally just decide to get my money back from Amazon! I will get an Osmo Action 3 down the road but will wait!! Side note I have the Osmo Action 1 and DJI Mini 2 drone that I love!! But DJI has dropped the ball with not sending out or replacing a bad camera with a camera that they know works properly!!

Same as you… first one from 09/22… bad image … back to DJI… who sent me a new one from …09/22… back… and again 09/22 … back !!! I finally had a guy from their service and said that I wanted them to send another manufactured date and also that they open and check this f…. Toy before , otherwise it would last forever. They did. So my 4th (!!!) Action3 was the good one, manufactured 11/22 !

Thanks so much for the video. How does magnetic clip work while mounting the camera on a backpack strap? Similar to the POV videos you shot earlier using GoPro.

I gave up on the Osmo Action 3 and am now waiting for a few months. The first one was a 9/22, and the second camera was 10/22 manufactured dates. Both had mushy video compared to my Osmo Action 1. Reached out to DJI and ask them if they could guarantee me a 11/22 manufactured date and they said they couldn't . Which sucks because I really wanted this camera!!

Hey mate! I haven't tried it myself. my first thought is that I don't think it's a great camera for it. I know my A7IV isn't even the best att capturing video of Northern Lights, and that's a full frame camera. If that's your primary goal, I'd suggest look into a dslr and the lens with the widest aperture possible! But maybe the night mode on the GoPro hero 11 is enough? Maybe I should try it out and make a video :D

Nice review! Jag har också testat bägge och det som fick mig att välja Action3 över GoPro11 var (MYCKET) bättre batteritid, smidigare mount och mindre prislapp, där man även får med 2st extra batterier och en väldigt smidig selfie stick. GoPro'n var också trevlig, men gillar Action3's färger och menyer bättre. 😅

How about the interface? I find the Osmo Pocket interface to be TERRIBLE. How easy can you remember how to do things, especially if you haven't used it in a while? My Osmo Pocket also shuts down below 30 degrees, which is a big problem where I live.

@@Tottes Thanks for your video and time you spend producing it. Unfortunately your camera has the same focus issue everyone is talking about. Check your footage for example at 7:21 or 10:27. When you look closely you will see you/your hand beeing out of focus while the background is totally sharp and in focus. If you are happy with that quality, that's totally fine but if you compare it to other action cams this is quite a noticeable weakness. I would love to love the OA3 but I had to return my unit because my old Hero 4 Black beat the DJI by a mile.
