Honestly though,absolutely no issues ! I use it every single day all day ! I think is more important to tell people how reliable is compare to reading specs
@calinchaud5056 The issue is that is very wide,macro won't work well. The wider it is the closer need to be which defeat the purpose. Possibly your phone would be 10 times better. What they need to do is anamorphic filters. Would make sense
Hello ! Sorry I missed this rlquestion. Well,you don't want to add too many pixels so I'd suggest 1080P or 2.7K if you're posting in upscale 4K or even 1080P. Certainly be careful with the stabilisers,they don't like night !( if you check my night ride videos you can have an idea how clean can look ). If you are able try to keep your frame rate at low rate for instance 25fps or 30fps will give you the lowest iso so better image especially at night but if you are like me and you like motion to be smooth then 50/60 fps should be fine ! In theory the best image quality will be achieved if you are setting your parameters manually for example for 30fps video you need to choose shutter 1/60 ( double the frame rate),iso the lowest as well but the issue is that if your lighting conditions changed drastically then it will be either over or under exposed . I will advice set your fps to what you want,set your shutter speed to auto and your iso MAX at 6400 and not higher. You should get a pretty solid image ! So far this is the best low light action camera hands down ! Hopefully these help a little ! .

I took mine back where I bought it from.... I had issues and disappointments - none of which is disclosed in the reviews. I'll be doing a video soon about this. It's ALL to do with user case scenarios - except my first issue... I fly with my cameras, DJI OA4 horizon wouldn't stay level, I couldn't control it from the phone app to turn it on and off to save battery for a longer flight, the screens would stay on when not recording using as much power as when recording. If the camera auto - powered off while not recording, I had no way of turning it back on. My Gopro 10 and 11 had none of these issues, and the Gopro has better specs. (eg. DJI OA4 had to be in 2.7k/16:9 to record with horizon steady on - Gopros can do this in 4k.).
All valid complaints ! Have not experienced any of these as I use 2 of the Action 4 to record,although to come clean I don't use Horizon leveling and also I don't use the front screen to save even more battery . I certainly do not taking care when I use these cameras as I drop them quite often . Once your video is up let me know so I ca watch it
The gyroscopes seem sensitive to engine vibrations. Mine won’t keep a level horizon when rigged to a boat, motor bike or aircraft. The Action 3 had the same issue. DJI will deny it but a quick search and the issue is reported on their forum, Reddit, etc…
@troletti I did try the Horizon level and I didn't have any issues but it's worth saying that i never use it,only the Rock steady . I will stay tuned to see what kind of issues others have as I'm curious .
I use DJI action 4. Unfortunately, the camera does not expose correctly either in manual or auto mode. In auto mode the ev should compensate by + 1 minimum but instead of being at +1 it reaches -2 and I am underexposed, in manual mode I am correctly exposed but the backroand is overexposed. I understand that the sensor is not too big, but it should expose correctly, as does my phone, which has a much smaller sensor than this camera.
Thanks for sharing firstly ! Second,your smartphone is way better at complicated tasks due to the AI and all the tricks the phone companies do ! As a Filmmaker myself worked with cameras that worth the same as a house , none of them expose correctly even on the auto mode ( some of them have) . The footage needs to be edited promptly, for instance GoPro is better for image out of the card as I mention on the video but generally there is no comparison with the DJI . What did you use to compare it to ?
You are right but it's not like it random crashes ! My issue is why they don't release different lenses for it. Apart from ND's. I'd love an anamorphic one
