Out on my 2023 Beta Xtrainer on a soggy and dreary fall day in Western Pennsylvania to give my new camera a try on a 10 mile loop through the trees and creeks. About a quarter of the way through is when the more technical stuff starts.
How many hrs do you have on your bike? Any regrets buying X over the RR ? My display has gone crazy. Just like everyone else in the earlier years. Most times it doesn’t display speed and if it does it can show over 100 I don’t pressure wash my bike.
I have roughly 45hrs on it and I don’t regret it at all. Maybe if I was taller or just ride “normal” singletrack because I’m too short to get my footing in the harder stuff with the taller 300 with the stiffer suspension. I’ve never had a bike fit me so perfect before. The amount of grunt and midrange this bike has combined with the light weight makes for a serious woods weapon. Tubliss on my friends Xtrainer is even better and I plan on doing that soon. The kind of woods I ride combined the grunt, lightweight, and my 30in inseam I can’t see myself on any other bike right now.
About the speedo, double check the connection behind the headlight. Mine actually came out once which caused the display to not read MPH or hrs for a bit. I used some dielectric grease on that and all the connectors as well.
@@Garage2Trail I did the tubeless and it was the best thing for better handling over sharp edged rocks. I also added a fatty front tire to give more cushion so I could run very low pressure and not damage the rim. The X Trainer is great for us short guys. There are times that I still have difficulty with not being able to touch the ground…..lol I also add a bit of oil to the gas as I don’t like how little oil the oil injection adds. I want to see a bit of smoke from the exhaust…
