the magnetic detachable base is one major plus, However a shame the sensor size isnt larger, imagine the sensor being closer to the 1" size, this i feel would win hands down for ease of use mounting options.
So basically they took the DJI pocket 2 sensor, put it in this, and called it the FeiyuTech pocket 3. Just buy a discounted DJI pocket 2, will be a better experience than this knockoff.
Crazy DJI dropped this Technology 1st and companies have had years to copy and make better… and companies are still behind. 😅 When you get to $370+ you may as well pick up a Pocket 2 or go up to the Pocket 3 with a 1” Sensor, D-Log M, Vertical and Horizontal Shooting, Wireless Mic with 32 Bit Float, Timecode… once you are at this point You quickly see the Pocket 3 is for an audience that is looking to bypass a Sony ZV 1, iPhone 15 & blendable with more expensive Mirrorless Footage. Good review though.
Yes but the form factor is much different. The Feiyu Pocket 3 would be much better for mounting on a hat or something for first-person footage. Better for mounting in general because it so much smaller.
@@OrganicGreensBro you are describing applications that are reserved for an Action Camera 😂 At this point, mounting, first person & outdoor or around kids get an Action Camera. This thing will absolutely get destroyed if it falls off a helmet. The DJI Action 4 mounting has to be the best on the Market, but there are tons of cheaper Action type cams starting at $59 that will rival. But to Zander’s review this is a great cheaper alternative to the Pocket 3 if budget is the main concern.
Removu K1 came out before the original DJI Pocket. The K1 is bigger but when the Pocket 1 came out it was clearly trying to copy it imo. Now you could argue that the K1 was a copy of the DJI OSMO+, but I would disagree.
@@moneyboys2010 You literally can't tell the difference in videos made with this vs the Osmo 3- it's all about the operator knowing what they are doing and post production editing. People by DJI because of the name.
The Feiyu has a great image and wonderful colour at daylight recording, but dji pocket 3 has better recording images at low light. The Feiyu pocket 3 is worth the money...
Though it seems impressive, I don't think it's a pocket 3 killer. The only thing that it can compete on is pricing. It's not even in the same league. Pay more and get the real deal. As Warren Buffet once said, buy quality and buy it once.

I'm very interested in the Feiyu Pocket 3 for hands free first person footage. I want to use it to shoot gardening tutorials in first person. I've fiddled with many chest mounts and action cameras and still have never got a setup that works other than holding an go pro with my teeth. Obviously then I cant talk lol. This Feiyu Pocket 3 looks promising because it can pan up when I bend over and its so much smaller than other gimbals. I'm still on the fence tho. Been considering an insta 360 go 3 also for a chest or hat mount setup.
Let's be real here....the most DJI brings to innovate is a flippable screen....and that's after this released. They made an entire detachable gimble, and worse it has a tripod mount. DJI took an L. They're the Skype in 2020 getting beat out by newcomer Zoom.
@@phantombru Okay....? How is that even remotely impressive? I can just get a drone if I want a gimbal with a 1inch sensor, that isn't limited by how far you can hold it. LOL
@@bedo-san1586 Okay, first off it would be: "That's why DJI *has the action series for that." Secondly, in some capacity you would still have to hold the action camera. Either with a selfie stick. While you could mount it, even then this camera still does 2 in 1 which is a huge advantage over it. Now....DJI does have innovating new products which I DO love. (Don't get me wrong.) I'm saying as a consumer I am just quite earnestly disappointed. I see for the Osmo Action series this is all they bring to market this year. I was honestly hoping they would go more in line with this. Anyways, if I were to just pay for a DJI Osmo Action? I'd rather buy a mini 3 or 3 pro. It's around the same price range...and solves the same problem as the DJI Osmo Action...but with the added bonus it can fly. It's still pocket sized too.
