Don't worry about focusing, the L-mount lens set gives you the same experience as the DL-mount.

I've seen this one in Iceland last June, it's definitely a really good idea. It had quite a bit of tape on it, and they were quite secretive. But works really nice

@Jordan, when I saw the poppy, it reminded me of the Remembrance Day. Although Hong Kong is no longer a Commonwealth of Nation, some ceremonial services are still performed. We do still remember some 550+ Canadian soldiers who lost their lives during WWII in Hong Kong.

This was good! If they let you buy extra handles to live on the external monitor that would be very cool. Can you power this off of brick batteries? V,B, or gold mount? There needs to be a firmware upgrade for Eye auto focus.

Do you think that the “M” mount would have the same limitations as the “E” mount? I don’t think that DJI would produce cameras in the future as they already do in one sense as they are the majority stake holder of Hasselblad.

Very interesting...question how effective the vertical stabilisation working??? Also well...we need more lenses and I don't really agree that a zoom lens does not have it's meaning on a gimbal, if it is very strong than if your lenses does not move a lot of weight you don't necessarily have to rebalance it all the time... my WeBill S can handle my Pana 14-140 without problems (OK it is a M4/3 lens but a good one)

If you take the handles off the camera for the follow focus unit, how do yo hold the camera??? Do you need to buy extra handles?

It still has a top handle, and can be easily rigged with handles like any camera. But yes, another pair of side handles will have to be bought. I’m sure DJI will offer the active handles separately, and maybe cheaper passive ones too? I hope so.

Cool review! The old footage, was that the short movie shot on the Nikon D7000(?), the beggar interacting with the donor? The current footage, Jordan's hands. Does that mean, you can easily operate them with gloves? Off the topic, yet that's one thing I love about old-style quality DSLRs, I no need to take even my mittens off. Not realistic with the Sony A7-series

Yeah I think a few shots were shaky - I think they just didn't nail the set-up every time. When it was smooth - it was soooooo smooth.

I can easily see how one can fall in love with this amazing gadget, though for anything personal and non-profit it’s quite a chunk of money. And thanks to your brilliant review it comes to light that camera manufacturer obviously are dropping the ball on rolling shutter issues to a degree that renders these otherwise almost perfect cameras nearly useless. Lucky you if that doesn’t matter to you, but for anything I can think of recording it’s a dealbreaker sized problem. I suppose better chips can fix that problem, yet these better chips seem to be always geared to more resolution instead of eliminating the rolling shutter issue in full 4K which is all I am asking for. Let’s see, maybe my time will come with devices that don’t have these drastic limitations while still being affordable for an enthusiast budget.

You stated that the 16mm from DJI is an option; it's not, as this lens is made for S35 and at 16mm, you'll get vignetting. Also, did you guys manage to check the quality of the audio on this thing?

But back on topic, I'll be 80 in a couple months, and like Philip Bloom I have any number of broken body parts. So, no $7K, no Easyrig, no 4D. Anyways, let me help, Jordan. YOU CANT COMPARE an iPhone 13 to this, Thats just not fair, you obviously don't understand technology and cameras.....LOL only joking, just trying to incite a riot like you ha ha ha. Im 54 no broken parts so looks like ill save up from a few jobs and get the whole kit...better for me than the Ursa Mini Pro or FS7... for me at least.

Ha-ha, very funny! You had me going - I thought, "Uh-oh, here it comes." A perfect rendering of the expected response. I recorded a small singing group the other day with the iPhone 13 Pro Max and an external hypercardiod shotgun mic, the Comica CVM-VM20. The resulting video has 1,100 views and counting with 79 likes and 1 dislike (someone who wandered into the video and was expecting something else). Honestly, people went out of their way to praise the audio, including professional musicians. I post-processed the audio with a light hand, twiddling dials and sliders until it sounded "just right." (Like the pros do.) iPhones have better-than-audiophile audio tech built-in. (Ha! Let the riot continue.)

Skybiz, I've had the 11, 12 PM, and now 13 PM and find them fascinating because they can do so much, so well. NO camera does everything perfectly - that's the Fountain of Youth of the gearheads. Meanwhile, my clients are stunned by the stills and video (and audio with external mic!) I get out of the phone. If I were a pro, sure, Canon all the way. But the iPhone is doing a great job for my service work.

ISO, Exposure Offset and White Balance are all adjustable within FCPX.

Pretty sure most lenses don't have precise enough idea of where it is actually focused at. If you take an E-Mount Zeiss Batis lens with those focus distance screens on the top you can see how inaccurate it is. Accurate focus information requires factory calibration and that's just extra expense nobody will benefit from, you're never going to focus something by distance instead of by sensor confirmation, unless you have a Ronin 4D.

I love the nd filter implementation, perhaps we can see this type of innovation in smaller mirrorless cameras down the line? I have seen the newish Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and I personally don't mind a heftier mirrorless camera with more features. I'm still waiting for the GH6.
