DJI Ronin S with focus motor an command unit to control zoom function... 

Thanks yeah I decided to blow my inspire 2 Drone budget on a decent ground camera system for low light and bokeh...

No you have to mark the end points via the command unit… early model gimbals had no automatic points… only the later RS versions…

The strong motors on the gimbal allows you to zoom regardless of weight... I just think if you have to do multiple focal distances for a event... you need a good zoom to quickly get the right framing... Especially if you are across the room at a wedding Banquet and a unpredictable speech starts... But I normally keep it balanced at 50mm as a default length...

It can still operate when it is not perfectly balance or changing balance haha. Been doing it since the first ronin.

I should think so as there is mechanical adjustment that needs the gear to be attached for the focus motor to work...

no you cant program zoom or focus in the ronin S its all manual...

You need eyes, because in the video it’s a Sony A7 iii
