@@afonsha Tello is trash and us drone pilots don’t see it as a drone, We see it as Toy. Can’t even film or make pictures with that and 80 meters range is nothing to 13.000 meters on my Mavic Pro. Sorry if u have it, I bet you think the same if you have it
@@UmarHKhan I got it about 2 years ago as a Xmas present and possibly used it like 2 times, it’s only now I’m using it more. Still new looking and works real good.
I just bought my spark for $114.00!!! At my job on clearance, just the spark, no remote. But I flew it for the first time today and , compared to my mini Kk8, it a beast. Love it..
Thank you! I just bought my spark today! It's definitely more affordable then other drones. But by any names still not cheap. I got the fly more package today and I paid over $800 in Canada this is with the DJI refresh
Thanks for the video! I would recommend pointing the antennas at the drone for better reception and also ALWAYS hard wire the remote the the phone to ensure the best transmission signal.
⚡️ QOTD: Have any DRONE TIPS? LMK! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 ** Correction about DJI Care ** "DJI Care" is the protection plan for older models before Phantom 4 (including Phantom 4), and "DJI Care Refresh" is for newer models (after Phantom 4, eg. Spark, Mavic, Phantom4Pro ). 🚁💯
Just shot some drone footage in Dominican Republic (Punta Cana). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xo9UWxBJUqs.html Fly 'close' to objects to get really great shots but enable 'object avoidance'. Turn on 'Sports Mode' in open areas if you have the remote. It also has a new firmware update (came out the other week for SPERE MODE).
Best tip I can give, especially since there was a local news report here in Australia, is to know that even if you are a amateur flyer. That there are aviation rules that be best to know about.
A good tip for a beginner is to make sure the camera is in focus. My first flight with the Mavic was all blurry because I didn't tap the screen to focus. Another good idea on this is to set one of the buttons on the back of the controller to focus. That way you don't have to tap the screen to do so. Another piece of advice. Don't fly inside. GPS doesn't work and won't keep the drone stable. Because I was too close to something in front of the drone it got pushed back into a newly painted wall. lol. Anyway, I made a video about it on my channel.
My son just go his today. We can't wait to add video he takes to our videos. We live very close to a big town and he had a cheap drone he got some good shoots with so ha saved up him money and go himself a Spark.
I love my spark. I use it to track wild life and to fly over feeders to see what's being attracted before I walk up to it so I don't scare away wild life. One tip I'd give is when flying in windy conditions, plan your flight route before hand. Fly to the furthest point. Then take shots coming back to home. Make the home point at a location so the wind is in your face. You can fly till you get a low battery alert and still make it home with ease. If the wind is at your back, you may run out of battery coming back home FOR obvious reasons, flying up wind. When I plan my flight, I find that I get the most out of my battery and get better shots knowing before hand what I want to achieve.
Nice tips. One thing I don't like about Quickshots is the fact that you can't change the camera exposure settings. I get overblown footage all the time from that mode.
Thanks great shooting tips . I just bought the spark 3 days ago - amazed at how it’s opened up a whole new world of possibilities - you can literary be a one man film maker - and its fun to fly on its own - love the small size - my first drone was easy to get up and running ....
Nice tips!! The DJI spark is the perfect drone for beginners and for those who just want to take lovely holiday shots. Its affordable and so easy to learn to fly.
Another Great Video! I have the DJI Phantom 3 4K and it does a fantastic job. The Spark looks like a great way to pack a smaller drone along. Great job.
When I was looking at buying a drone I was looking at something really compact that would be good for travel. So I go the Mavic. A week later, DJI released the Spark. Oh well, I love my Mavic. We've taken some amazing footage for our vlogs.
Always a GREAT video Sean your tips have helped me tremendously. Also update that is needed is the update of the firmware of the smart battery. Happy thanksgiving.
I am way behind the curve here, but I just bought the Spark (used) for $280. It only had 30 min of flight time and came with guards and the remote. I went ahead and got a bigger case, multi battery charger and an extra battery. So far I love it. My first drone video comes out tomorrow!
I have used the Spark for a few months now and it truly gives another viewpoint to my cycling videos! And by the way - in addition to updating the drone itself, the RC and the mobile app, you have to update also the batteries 😉
Hello all very good video! I have had my Spark for about a month now been flying a lot and with the help of videos like this no crashes and some great footage already! One of my tips for all spark flyers is for the RC controller, to change In the dji go app the RC custom function button under the photo snap button on front right of RC control . Default is land and it’s super easy to bump that button and an unexpected landing could be bad news , and nearly was for me, the first time it happened to me almost made me crap my pants, as I was over a swimming pool in my friends yard taking photos of our wives! Chopped up wives are not friendly creatures!! Easy to change in the app just go to settings and the. On left click the icon for the RC and then change custom functions of that button on right to what you want , I pick camera down and forward that way as the button above is snapshot easy way to set up for a picture. I'm a videographer looking into drones, I can't see myself spending the big bucks on a mavic as there's tight restrictions for commercial drone use in the UK but for home videos and projects, this drone would be perfect.
I'm especially enamored with this video. The reason is, it's very well done, and especially "to the point", and covers a lot of important things. I's also very honest and gives some great video tips on different shots. I bought the Mavic Pro first, because I got a killer deal on it, but then bought the Spark, mainly because it's less conspicuous, works very well, and is just plain fun. Thanks for a video very well done. Marc Trainor.
I just got one (late to the game). I'm getting only about 10 minutes of flight time, but I bought mine used and the batteries were made in May 2015, so maybe that's why.
Thanks for great info Sean. I love my Spark. I’ve had it since early summer this year and have taken great aerial photos and videos with it. Best parts are portability and 12MP camera!
Had an DJI phantom before that dropped from the sky with no reason. Are looking to get a Phantom 4 Pro and I will invest in their care agreement. The best tip I got is to fly smooth and slow and also to only include small portions of drone footage in your video. Looks very professional then. Greetings from Andreas on Off Grid Sweden
Wal Mart started selling DJI drones. If you're on a budget, look for the DJI TELLO. it's about 100 bucks, has cool features and inexpensive to train with. You won't be disappointed
Excellent Video Sean. I like how you not only talk about the features and specs, but you *actually* used it to capture real life footage + showed the results. Again, Fantastic video! 👍
Great footage just advice to get the range extenders shield and the bars type work great £15.99 on Amazon for both versions ov the signal boosters and I was really surprised how it can still hold position even in strong winds
Thanks for the video! One question. Can you use palm takeoff and take over with the controller, or use the controller and still do a palm landing? Any help would be appreciated and thanks again for all the info.
One more tip... Way too many replies, so I don't know if this was already pointed out: EVERY time you change the take off location, DO a compass calibration!
Great video, Sean. Thank you! When the Spark is tracking you, and you walk toward it, will it maintain distance? Basically, could you do a Aaron Sorkin-type walk-and-talk?
Thanks for the reviews ... and a pretty nice video. And I will add these, that I once worked with a guy who is probably your look-alike ;) Warm greetings...
Sean, thanks so much for this informative video. I ordered a DJI Spark drone earlier today. After viewing your video, I changed my original order. I added a second battery, a two year DJI Care Refresh package, and the DJI Prop guards. I was only planning on ordering a SanDisk Memory Card. I can't wait to get good at operating it before too long!
