@colrnaranjanga5241 i have a question (genuinely curious, not tryna be mean). do people who like the impures/their music get paid or asked to promote their music under random artists videos? i’ve seen a lot of comments recommending songs only from this band on mvs from artists (esp. indie/alt) such as wallows, dayglow, djo, etc.
He sounded a little shaky and nervous at the beginning (understandably in front of a huge crowd), but quickly he became so comfortable and joyful on stage. I am so in love with his music and sound. I love that he isn't just Joe Keery he truly becomes Djo on stage, an absolute rockstar in that wig!
@@samglover4923 yeah lmao I know what his real hair looks like I was just wondering if he like grew it out or sum cus this is the same color as his actual hair
@@kissmiss1936 Agree to disagree. It's encouraged for bands to have fun with note changes when performing live. Joe's voice has a broad range and yes, even if it might break a little at times, it still sounds like his. You can tell he was just enjoying himself 😊 and the instrumentals are flawless.
@@ralucaprepelita8428 Yeah and also He is inexperienced I'm sure He will do great in future. This Man has never made a bad song . I'm excited for Decide 😍
It’s so cool seeing his audience and confidence grow with every performance, he’s quickly going from someone with a lot of potential to someone who’s a must see. I really hope he comes to the uk for some dates soon because his music is a breath of fresh air and a stoner’s dream
I actually went and saw this set but unfortunately a lot of fans were there to see a performance later in the night. I do think his fan base grew a lot however a lot of people there that day that didn’t care to see him. it was a great performance but I felt bad for them.
the music is pretty good....but I must say hes got a long way to go as a performer. I mean think about how many good bands there are in the world that would love to get this kind of traction
At the show I went to in Atlanta at Vinyl, we were all singing along. A lot of people go because he's 'Steve' or an 'actor' but don't really know his music. Which is a great way to grow but Lollapalooza wasn't his best gig by far. He was hella nervous, you could tell. Shaky Knees, I went to the next night after Vinyl and he was nervous but hundreds of us were there specifically for him. So, he had a great time. Check out his Shaky Knees and Vinyl performance. Djo did amazing at both of those.
Djo is actually a great band ,started listening to their music back in 2019 and tbh they make surprisingly good music ,you don’t see a lot of actors/musicians making good music and I think a lot of ppl will listen to Djo bc Joe is there but I can personally say that their music is pretty good
He really is one of the best right now! But I have to disagree with part of this because there are tonsss of actors that make great music! Maya Hawke, Jamie Bower, Michael C Hall, Keanu Reeves, Jensen Ackles, etc
But djo is technically just joe keery. Yes he gets musicians to play on his tracks...but i mean, that only makes sense for him cause he is not a multi-instrumentalist. But DJO is still only keerys musical project
After Stranger Things Season 5, they should do a tour and name it Hawkins Festival: Joe Keery - Djo Charlie Heaton - Half Loon Joseph Quinn - Metallica (5th Member) Finn Wolfhard - The Aubreys Jamie Campbell Bower Maya Hawke Gaten Matarazzo Sadie Sink
32:09 I'm in love, this will be my new favourite song of him, it sounds so much like those british bands of the '00s, his voice, the music, everything.
@@midnightbladeninja5379 they played flash mountain as the outro and it was awesome and extended however it tragically was not part of the Hulu stream. It definitely had the highest energy
im so glad i started listening to his music , i wish i could go to one of his concerts bc his music style is so different i love it, he has such amazing stage presence , i hope more people recognise him for his music :)
Shocked at how good this is? This genuinely is great music. Halfway into the set Keery was totally killing it and I didn't even recognize him as the actor. Legitimately just a great band.
I truly love this music. I have been going thru heavy life changing events and my life has been upside down. This is some of the only music I can listen to and it sounds like how music in 2022 should sound. Love it!
Big Thanks for the vid!!! Gloom is banger live. End of Beginning... there`s a lot of heart in that song, love it! Love them all! Personal Lies and Change are my favs in general. Chateau is a staple, Djo`s trademark 😉
Look up "Fewjar" espacially their 3 newest albums might hit your taste. They are a bit more popy than djo but still in this nice groovie 70s/80s style!
Currently here because I’ve been listening to Djo for months after I got recommended it on Spotify and only today after deciding to Google what he looks like for fun did I discover it was Joe Keery singing 🙃
I love Joe a lot. I saw all of his videos he is a very nice and kind guy. He deserves the best. I started listening to his music few weeks ago and I am absolutely obsessed. Love him. ❤
tldr loved the set; Guy has a really talented group by his side. Really wasn’t expecting his live voice to sound as good as it did, I like it just as much as the recordings. Ring, BNBG, Mortal Projections, and Roddy all sound so good live. Dude Gloom makes me want to smash a guitar that song is amazing. Stoked to hear those new songs as well. Was hoping he would play Change bc it’s my fav at the moment but I guess it’s good to not have too much of a good thing lol. Can’t wait to see where they go in the future!
Since most of the cast of st are musically inclined, can play instruments and many have bands of their own, what I would love as a fun sideproject for them to form a stranger band together and do a tour! Alternatively they could do warmups with their bands on shows.
Bruh I’ve been a Djo and Kainalu fan since 2019 and I recently saw Trent (Kainalu) last Saturday for his Giseng Hourglass tour at Moroccan Lounge in LA. Fist bumped the guy and had a great time with the music. I just came back to this video and realized Kainalu is helping him play for this performance 😭😭
I actually love how he wears a wig, I don’t see Steve Harrington I see a different person with a totally different identity and it allows me to appreciate the music on its own beyond being attached to an iconic character / actor
WHY CAN'T I STOP LISTENING TO DJO's MUSIC I'M 51 PFUCKIN YEARS YOUNG. I WISH THIS WAS AROUND DURING MY ACID DAYZ. I GUESS MAYBE I'LL JUST RE-DISCOVER THOSE "STRANGER" DAYZ OF MY YOUTH.
I knew Joe Was music but I didn’t know what to search for his music but it Djo amazing I loved this so much. This my first time ever listening to his music btw
Lolla head turners for sure...I was waiting for The Marias to come on stage opposite and kept turning around to check out the sweet tunes being laid down by this unknown to me group, been a fan ever since \m/
