DK 2 kinetic 40 ton defect safety issue. 

I purchased this log splitter and before I finished my first chord of lodgepole firewood I had to stop.
it became very difficult to start when hot there was a weird tugging on the rope when pulling.
I open the cover to see what was going on and grab the flywheel and notice that both flywheels were loose and could spin independently 1/2 inch from the pinion shaft.
when the flywheels for rotated in opposite positions they could be reversed and have nearly three-quarters of an inch of slop.
and with the retaining bolts not being left hand thread when the flywheel Sears the keyway the flywheel could come off the shaft at a high RPM and cause extreme injury or death if it catches the shaft and one of the holes and goes elliptic or shatters.
the welds and build quality extremely poor.
the tube racks snag and been on every third log it seems like.
and pieces will get caught and stopped the ramp from retracting by tangling into this tubular Three stooges RAC design.
excuse me I take that back The Three stooges would have done it better.
do check your flywheel this is a serious safety issue.
