@@Furiothebest lol, they lost because of draft strategy, DK strategy was just fast finish the game but GenG resisted till coming back. People everytime just wanting to trash talk
@@greensword02 The reason he was able to do this is because the whole team is a sinning comp. If they were scaling champs like gengs then he would never be able to do this in first place so your logic makes no sense lmao
canyon is really good no doubt about that, but I still love peanut for his good mental and not getting tilted after all of that. I'm a fan of him since his t1 days
Lol do you think he wasn’t tilted? They can’t do what people do on ranked matches, they gotta keep playing to try to win, that’s why he doesn’t rage, cause it’s his job
The top inhib fight was sad, Ziggs missed his ult entirely, everyone miss their poke including Canyon and Renekton was literally a sitting duck waiting to die.
Canyon played this so beautifully its so terrifying and amazing. If I were peanut I would be bawling with that amount of bullying. Sadly they lost because they are on a timer. They let chovy side lane and got ahead of showmaker and with just the tiniest mistake, gave some kills to the terrifying xayah of ruler in one teamfight. That is the true turning point.
@@chaptermastermoloc4171 Yeah, and I think Ruler would be a bad choice cuz he's a hyper carry that needs a lot of set up and resources, not only this would hurt Canyon play style, but would also make the team very predictable. Viper would be perfect for a team with Chovy and Canyon, mf can play anything from high resources hyper carry to tank frontline
@@zedrhyx1788 That's not true, the game was theirs at the 20 minutes mark. They played badly during the top inhib fight where 1. Ziggs missed his ult entirely 2. Most of DWG members missed their skillshots(including Canyon) 3. Renekton was useless during that entire fight Up till then, DK was dominating GenG. Peanut cant do anything and everyone was up atleast 1.5k-2k gold. The only thing they were down was mid and bot Exp.
@@775.- This DK is really weak, Showmaker is underperforming, Deokdam and Keilin aren't a strong bot duo, since Keilin keeps getting caught as Leona and Deokdam can only play Ziggs appparently, Burdol is a burden The only player that performed well this split is Canyon. Hoya barely had any screen time.
You can't paint Peanut as bad jungle tbh. DK's comp has advantage early game and Canyon, well, he's a jungle monster. Poor horse lost the battle but won the war.
I mean I think this game you have to ward to see if nidalee is heading to your gromp no? As a D1 peak Heca main (usually sit in D3 ish) you know Kindred/Nidalee have the power to gank you on gromp and to just do it blindly is sort of int IMO.
Did you watch the exp bars at all? Do you even know how exp curves work? This isn't uncommon lmao. Canyon was pretty consistently 2 levels up if not 1.75 levels up early. As the game drags on (and especially in pro with how resources are handed around) this difference becomes less drastic. Happens in top all the time too. Been dove endlessly by junglers early to be 2-4 levels below, then you come back and are a level behind or even as you get closer to mid game.
you know why DK lost cause they didn't respect chovy if they prioritize bullying chovy or rather than doran and peanut the whole series DK can easily win this but nope they let chovy and ruler run free and despite the massive lead they have ruler and chovy can still carry late game
@@zedrhyx1788 yes them making it a 4v5 was clearly horrible. Not to mention the nidallee pick, horrible champ I rather have a litteraly non existant hecarim
@@zedrhyx1788 that’s not the main reason, it’s what everyone has been saying for some time now that draft can make or break a match, it’s clearly shown here with DK’s comp which only worked cause of Canyon jungle gapping Peanut into oblivion, until the cracks of their comps started showing in the late game cause how useless is nidalee and renekton. You can clearly feel as if the 10k gold lead was nonexistent in the final baron team fight cause GenG’s comp was just better than DK’s, You can feel as if DK doesn’t know wtf they are doing As someone said on the comment sections; “DK’s comp was on a timer, and the timer ran out”
Canyon jungler diffed Peanut so hard he forgot to actually take care of the enemy carries. Ruler didn't die a single time in the whole game and was basically free by late game, Chovy's just insane lol
I feel like dk approached the mid game so slow i mean there's two open inhibitor on top and bot they could have exploit that but instead they're grouping and waiting for they're skill shots to hit enemies on the other hand gen g played really well, chovy is so good in this series
their comp can't face check bushes (ahri), can't be on tight spots, (ornn), can't fight extended team fights (xayah). They had to rely on their poke but geng was too slick. And it was honestly just a team diff. Chovy and Ruler are too good.
You described the way in which DK's team must teamfight. Look at the champions they have, ziggs jayce nidalee. They're all great for sieging and poking down before going all in (Not just going all in). Leonas your primary engage and Renekton ideally wants to make space and jump the backline. If you're trying to take an inhib you are going to be front to back, there are no flanks. So assuming no one ints Leona and Renekton HAVE to wait for poke to come in. A big issue is Yuumi, it allows them to stay out for longer making sieging that much harder.
Later in the game, Canyon chose to continue to invade Peanut's juggle instead of getting control over drake basically allow GENG to farm another 5 mins. Not saying Canyon lost the game or anything like that, but it feels like later in the game Canyon is just invading just because he can, not what he should do. Altho the early invade was very good lesson to learn for junglers.
You could analyze that Damwon lost this series when they just let chovy free farm on corki for 20 minutes. And then in this game they only Ganked peanut. Who was never going to carry this game What they did was just bullying it wasn’t playing a smart win condition. Nidalee hitting spears again yuumi healing was never going to be a win condition
the fuck kind of logic is this? "Just bullying... wasn't playing a smart win condition." How can you say that when they were up 10k gold pre 20. It absolutely was a win condition. Canyon giving up a 1000 gold bounty to Ruler was the wrench that threw all the mechanical pieces out. I can very easily see them winning this game had it not been for that pivotal moment. Sure they were on a timer but to say that jungle diff is not a win condition is the dumbest shit I've read lmfao.
absolute delusional freak wtf are u on about. 1) jg playing aggressive allows lanes to play aggressive bc its lane without jg interference from enemy. this advantages the team that has better laning phases bc they can punish more 1v1 or 2v2. renekton, and ziggs leo both smash lane. 2) top mid literally hard winning bc of canyon ganks ahri was like 0/2 and jg was literally flame horizon. you are literally saying that 12k gold lead is bad win con kinda delusional. 3) they threw at the end, but that was impart due to individual mistakes that are uncharacteristic, as well as not playing their comp as well as they did in earlier series and games. ziggs jayce is fucking insane scaling poke comp
I know dk lost in the end, but canyon is the only jg that deserves/has the right to say “Jg diff”. What he did is absolutely insane, it was literally cyber bullying in the highest level. He absolutely abused peanut in the early, it was frankly comical how much he made peanut look like a silver player.
this kind of playstyle is doable if your laners have prio where they can stop the enemy laners from rotating and helping peanut. I tried to do this on rank. Allies lost their lanes immediately and I got collapsed on the enemy jungle lmao
No denying Canyon is a jg & mechanical god, but he was able to do this coz all his lanes had prio, he was nidalee against a hecarim (not a good duelist early, weak to invades). He was just doing the right thing. Next time in ur soloq games, dont draft 0 prio lanes into a strong early enemy jgler.
I just find it so funny that Canyon had more cs took more camps and was only able to be 1-2 lvls ahead of Peanut. Imagine being flame horizon at Jungle and only being 1 lvl ahead. This game is balanced. Now if this was the old jungle without the XP catch up lol it was doomed.
Pretty much macro mistakes. Over stayed too much at top then forcing the baron after killing the horse. Well, at least the T1 vs GENG Full roster is still happening.
@@thibloki5768 Good observation but we wouldn't know the outcome until d-day. I'm excited for another T1 stomp, ('cause I'm a T1 fan), but It seems like these type of matchups that go to 5 games and gives us hella anxiety and adrenaline are the best games to watch. imho. #T1Fighting
@@WANCHAN_123 damn bro that was the past how about 18-0 of t1 rn? Mechanically t1 are superior but doesn't mean they will wipe Gen.G but will be 3-1 or 3-2 for t1 at least
It's gold for exp, while DK was only looking for turret gold and grouping up, Chovy and Ruler were farming alot so they were up xp. Plus DK did not land that much poke in objective fights, Renek was pretty useless in the teamfights as well. Basically they got outscaled and Chovy > Showmaker.
No, GenG's team comp is much better than DK's. Although they took all the camps, towers, they don't actually shut down Chovy and Ruler. And there was Yuumi, the most broken enchanter.
I don't know if they bought anti heal because there is a yummi?? Geng obviously snowballing until yummi become relevant by having his teammate sustain from those poke.
This is what *laners* can do for their jungler if you know *actually* know how to manage your lane (this was *only* possible because all 3 lanes of DK pushed from the start for the expressed purpose of supporting DK's invade; by removing lane prior for all of GENs lanes)
yeah but ultimately they made a strategic (rookie) mistake - they sacrificed lanes to play for jungle prio because jungle was dominating.. the problem is that the death timers are so low early - you go kill peanut but the jungler, especially a hecarim will be faster back on the map (his own jungle) than any laner would ever be back to his own lane so the kill doesn't starve him of much compared to what you sacrifice in lane - the advantage is totally misleading and it cost them the game when cork farmed up...your jungle would have to be both ahead himself AND be powerful enough to keep laners from reaching the outer turret safely to dominate which canyon was only able to do partly and with help from his own laners at times
that's some insane counterjungle since counterjungling was introduced to the meta during pre s2 but it's more insane for peanut for having patience and tilt-proofed himself.
Although, T1 would never end up with a draft like Gen.G, this is one of the ways that has not been tried yet to beat T1, old damwon use to run drafts like this and end games in 25 mins, not many teams in the world play like this anymore because 1 throw and ur team comps fall off hard, even TES doesn't draft this non scaling anymore. I hope damwon continues playing like this because its very entertaining.
What I think to Peanut is, he is a type of jungler that became so good when his teammates are good. But became worst when his teammates are not performing well. He's not consistent jungler, unlike other jungler that wants to be the best jungler. He's not stepping up. I remembered back in 2017, when SKT dominated the whole World 2017, but Peanut got outperformed by SSG's jungler.
Canyon did very good early game but to be honest he went over confident and make mistakes (I understand he is desperate but meh he literally inted that one vs xayah ) and dk make a lot of big mistake in micro management that they kind of deserved to lose. After the first 10 mins hercarim was useless already but canyon keeps counter jungling in peanut's jungle instead of taking drake to speed up the game and a underlvled hercarim actually gets first drake. If they actually gets dragon soul I don't think DK would hv lost that easily although the last two teamfight execute so poorly.
