I never got a chance to watch a lot of Robin Harris, but from what I've seen, he's the type that'll just light you up with joke after joke after joke after joke, and you have two choices of 1) taking a swing & ending your career, or 2) eat those jokes & cry later in the bathroom. I do remember DL using some of Robin's jokes during the Kings of Comedy Tour. My mom bought the VHS when it came out and I recognized some of the jokes from Robin's HBO One Night Stand special. The joke about little kids staying up when a man wants to get it on with their mom. 'Kids drinking coffee, etc.' He also pulled 'a Robin' towards the end of his set by roasting the audience. Now, I'm not saying that's 'stealing' it's just I noticed he decided to add a tactic from Robin's style to his own set and it worked. Some people I noticed didn't laugh during DL's set, but once he started roasting them they couldn't help but laugh.

Yooo this just confirms that T.K. has literally lived and evolved through literally every point of the chronological spectrum from pure utter nuisance to born again evangelical philosopher and based on this interview it’s a wonder how T.K. avoided serious harm 😂

Love the folks Vlad has on the show but what is so frustrating quite often is Vlad's tendency to take over the dialogue when the interviewee is trying to get a point across. Good thing DL brought it back to the original point he was making.

I didn’t like that Vlad kept questioning DL on saying Robin Harris was the best to him. 1. DL is entitled to his opinion; 2. Just because Pryor and Eddie had huge crossover success doesn’t mean they are the best. They are legends, but that doesn’t mean that how DL defines “the best” isn’t valid for him
