when you reading 2.5 volts, in ether side, (usually in both sides) means that you have a short on your network and you resistance test (with the key off o battery disconnected) will gives you a value of 0.1 or 0.2 ohms. In that particular test you did... reads 60.9 ohms which is alright and the volts on your low side is 2.3 +- 0.1 average and your high side is usually 2.7 +- 0.1 for the total of 5 volts that is why you read 2.639 and 2.343 = 4.943 + lead resistance usually 0.1= 5 volts +- something. i did one today and literally read on 14 - 1.98 and 6 - 3.01

Very nice video man. I have the following problem on my wrx from 2006. On key position 1 and 2 the obd port has power. When I turn the key on the last position the power on the OBD shuts off . When I hang my delfi diagnostic box on the obd port it also indicates on position 1 and 2 that it has power, but can´t connect to it. What could that be for a reason? The cigarette lighter has power on all key positions. Would be so thankful if you have any tipp to give. Kind regards.

Some manufacturers require the battery to be disconnected entirely to get an accurate ohms reading, on a Nissan Titan I got burned thinking the network was shorted together just to realize that in the service information I blew past “Remove negative battery terminal”. After I did that I got my 60Ohm reading

This is very well explained. Now in my 2007 Mazda cx7 everything is good according to your explanation to have a good can bus, good Battery voltage, good ground, good ohms reading between pin 6 and 14, and still my scanner can't connect to the computer to check for codes. Any idea, suggestion? I was able but to connect one out of 5 tries, and eventually ones out of 10 tries in a period of time of 6 month to a year and this year I was able to connect to the computer few times during the year to check for codes and now I am NOT able to connect at all. Any suggestion will be appreciate it. Just recently I did replace the obd2 connector, to eliminate the possibility of a bad Obd2 connector. Still I can't connect to computer.
