I really enjoy the DLC for shadow of change. Played changling and yuan Bo. Really made Cathay much more enjoyable

Pre thrones of decay volkmar had the best empire campaign by far. Sad neither he or wulfhart got some love this update.

Unpopular opinion: I love Norsca. I want them to get a good rework. Such a cool faction and take on Chaos.

I dont really understand the hate for Changeling. It is literally the most unique campaign, letting you play the game in comlletely different way from other factions. While i agree that it should not be the norm, it is still great to have such a unique experience offered

Have to agree with Alarielle+Hellebron and Ikit dlc being on the weaker side, and the scummyness of Ikit's gunners relegated to dlc. Skaven were nigh unplayable garbage before that dlc though, and it also added undercities as free update I believe. Also agree with Ikit and Throt having difficult starting positions. Where I largely dont agree is you looking at everything through the lens of 'legendary meta', (in a single player game) thats just not how most people play the game. So there is the caviat there. You can play all HE campaigns ever with spamming 2 units, but will that be fun? Effective doesnt equal fun, unless youre *that* very niche player who just refuses to use 99% of a roster because its not needed to win the game. If youre that player, then yeah, a majority of dlcs are useless garbage, because even if each race had 90 Lords, youd still only ever play ONE way, every single battle and campaign. Still, its your list, and its not a law everyone is forced to follow, so there is no reason to take offense at it. Also some ppl will just use mods like Old World or SFO almost exclusively, and theyre a game changer for pretty much every Lord. You can buy a dlc for playing said campaign in a non-vanilla setting. You can also use random start positions to eliminate horrible starts like Epidemius. But fair, you explicitly said you dont factor in mods.

I hope Skarsnik being a joke comment was about how bustedly strong he is and not how weak. Cos he's prob, Khorne excluding the most busted faction in tbe game. Turn 20, you can rock 10 full armies, strength rank 1 since turn 10 and casually destroying the old world while other factions have few stacks at best.

I actually love all the DLC's in this game, except for the wood elves I think. In the topic of SoC, I agree that the way the DLC was released was beyond trash because of the pricing and the content provided. But in terms of gameplay, I find each of them interesting in their own way, maybe the replayability of the changeling was the one I had a hard time finding, because he only has 1 gameplay and it provides no challenge for me because he has no risk to it whatsoever.

Id say most WH2 ones are decent or better Warden and the paunch was my favourite but that's cause im an ork guy till i die

Personally i would raise vampire cost one tier just due to how perfectly they nailed the look and sound of the faction, while a LOT of that dlc has aged like milk left in the sun, it still feels and looks just like you would imagine a faction of vampire pirates to look and sound like, but yeah good lord does the dlc need a patching up and updating to current day standards, also a LOT of quality of life changes would be greatly appreciated.

Nakai can literally have a unstoppable Dread Saurian/Pompous hero doomstack at turn 30. He is much stronger than you think he is, if you play him correctly.

Bought SoC after the update. Liked Yuan Bo and his additions and some of the post update stuff is really solid but Changeling and Ostankya are really unfun campaigns

I know I am one of few voices here but I LIKE Nakai in WH3. More so than WH2 where he spawned in Be'Lakor's spot and he was my first LL I played so I am bias here played him back in WH2 years ago as my first ever campaign not a good first impression but I stuck around lmao. However yes Kroxigors are kinda bad, their animations are janky the charge is weak and they are slow for monstrous infantry. BUT Nakai himself feels like a fucking stomper even on higher difficulties it feels quite easy to make Nakai himself OP as fuck. His faction, campaign mechanics etc are ass, his replenishment is one of the lowest in the entire game, his movement on the campaign map sucks. His vassal is useless and needs to just act like the chaos Norscan vassals the fact it can't defend itself without spawning in an army that won't even replenish for a shit tonne of resources is WILD to me how is that fair at all? I have yet to try Nakai out now that Gelt is also down there with him I reckon its going to be a much more fun campaign since its pretty easy to ally up with Cathay as Nakai so I assume its the same for Gelt which is how I get onto the ONE FUN PART of Nakai's campaign. Sea lanes sea lanes SEA LANES oh my sweet sweet sea lanes. You have the freedom of choice here, invade the dark elves and save Mazdamundi? Yeah take a sea lane! Save Lustria from rats? Yeah take the sea lanes! Invade Tzeentch and save Oxyotl? Yeah take the sea lanes! You literally have 3 different sea lanes to choose from. Nakai's lore states he "Appears when needed most then vanishes to aid the other Lizardmen in times of dire need" and the fact he is in the corner near the sea lanes to help ANY of his Lizardbros shows they actually DID put thought behind putting Nakai in a corner, it allows him to play a lore friendly campaign and literally do what he did in lore. Appear and save the fuckin day. Its a really neat idea and he just needs some campaign mechanic buffs to be viable imho. TL;DR Nakai and his sea lanes really do save his campaign and make for a unique experience, give it a try its somewhat worth the experience to be honest, even if his faction kinda sucks.

this tier list is mental, the old warhammer 2 dlcs are good just because theyre a bit dated, theyre still really good that make certain races op to play. i think youre being way too harsh costin, CA is not gonna rework all these factions, lucky if we get another 3 minor reworks MAX. if the rumours about 4 dlcs left is true

Commenting twice I am sorry lmao, an easy fix to Norsca would be a DLC with a Fimir theme I have said it for years I wanna see more of what the Fimir can do! And Tamurkhan has shown that the Fimir are still around with his Fimir Chieftain Ketzaks lore literally stating he wants to bring glory back to the Fimir name. C'mon CA give us some Fimir stuff its sitting right there waiting to be used pretty sure there is a popular mod with a Fimir theme from like a year or two ago too so people clearly want some Fimir stuff. I know I do anyway.

I dont know about reddit, but CA showed statistic. And Ikit was the second most played campaign in all TWW2 history. And it dominated every single pol about most fun campaign in TWW2 with huge lead. And about DLC for wood elves...they are one of the most boring races in the game still. Any lord.

The best proof that WH3 is about to end is that they don't invest much time in crafting actual new gameplay. We have only reskins and powercreep. This is Thrones of Decay in a nutshell.

You should just do two tiers: buy and do not buy. You are injecting too much of your own opinion into this by saying "this is fun, this is not fun" That is not critiscm, that is bias and opinion. If a serious new player was looking for good investments, this video would not help them make a good decision
