What a fantastic start for DSLU! With Angel now in the line up, they've become a more confident and solid team which was what they were lacking in the past seasons. Not only in scoring but Angel is also a good blocker and defender. Truly a diamond of a player for DLSU! Props to Alba as well for a steady setting performance backed by Jazareno's solid recieves and digs. Jolina was confident all throughout the game. The middle's had their moments as well. All in all great team effort. Would be an exciting match vs NU in the last game of the first round. ADMU on the other hand is struggling with their floor defense and team chemistry if I may say. Not sure if they have issues with Coach O or they just need more time to gel as a team. Just like UST, they don't have a main setter but I must say Lomocso utilizes her middle a tad bit more than Fujimoto plus she's also a taller setter so blocking won't be that of a weakness if she's in front. Commendable performance from Sulit for this game. She's proving herself worthy of being a starter. Vanie was contained in this game not even reaching double digit points. AC did not have a good game and she barely had any touches on attacks. I like Tsunashima, she's a fighter and is unfazed by her opponents. Faith was the only one who scored double digits for ADMU and I feel like she should be a bit more of a vocal leader as she's one of the more senior players in the team. Anyways, the good thing about the UAAP is the double round robin eliminations. They have time to improve and do better in the second round. Congrats DLSU ! Well deserved win! Best of luck ADMU!

admu has a good libero, they have a good mb with miner and sulit, they have great setters. what they’re lacking is a motivational/tactical coach like coach tai or coach ramil. they need to put tsunashima in the starting line up and put nisperos back to OH. i also think gandler isn’t effective as OH2 - an OH2 needs to contribute when needed, and a good floor defender like des cheng and jema galanza. gandler seems to be inconsistent and compared to de jesus and cainglet, she is the weakest OH2 of admu in terms of consistency and fd. at least maraguinot was once a go to player and helped valdez in the offense department despite her shaky fd.

Ateneo was just really off. Yung tipong parang hindi sila batak sa training unlike nung kay Coach Tai before na parang ang ninipis nilang lahat. Walang block, receives at off din ang sets nila ngayon. Sinasayang lang si Faith and Miner.

Ateneo is breaking down on all aspects and coaching needs to improve immensely. They have the talent but the motivation is gone. Coach Tai is the prime example of how to coach chemistry into the team.

This is not good. Nagiging Canino centric ang LaSalle to the point na their Opposite (Leila) only scored 1pt. Although it's an easy win, this kind of system will not work against strong teams like NU, ADU, and UST(2nd round) they need to utilize leila and thea ALL THE TIME. We know it's good to have "Buhatera" sa team but it can't win you championship like what happened to Valdez, Rondina, Pons etc. But still congrats DLSU
