WOW, how cool was that, I love to see the Dave matthews band so young! They only got better with age. Love them forever and always. It's 2021. Time moves on and so does the Dave Matthews band. Keep it coming Dave. XO XO XO XO XO XO XO ❤️

To find out that the album Crash was spontaneous is just mind blowing

It definitely was a bit more jammy
@RealAlphaDrum
@RealAlphaDrum Год назад
It was the last album based on their original material that they had played for years prior and had a lot of time to work them out in a live setting before they even got to the studio. BTCS was the first album they had to write completely new material.

@@RealAlphaDrumwas just gonna say....they had those songs for years before they were recorded

Thank you for this, love #41! I miss when it was just the 5 of them on stage, jamming! The best DMB era, just them! Honestly, the live shows are not the same, especially not hearing the violin anymore.
@joesites

Crazy thing for me is the last time I saw them (just the five) was December of 2000 in Boston. After that "everyday" was released and things changed. I honestly remember talking to a couple people at the Holiday Inn in Foxborough in 2001 and they were saying how it was an end of an era... So to speak, but it's true.

Yes have they ever had a stand in violin ?
@young4302
@young4302 2 года назад
@@NicholasLeader0 Good morning, I do not believe they ever had a stand in violinist at their shows. Maybe it has something to do with copyright laws, but not sure. There are many songs that just are not the same without the violin. I've gotten use to their live shows without the violin but it is surely missed! Hope you make today a great day.

@85prp Jeff Coffin.....a horrible sax player? Your opinion of music is 🗑 if you seriously think Jeff is "horrible". Hes a Flecktone for God's sake. Dudes an ace. Leroy is a legend, yes....but you dont know much, if anything, about music it seems if you think Jeff Coffin is...."horrible". What a terribly stupid & uneducated thing to say.

Most underrated band ever. Or under-recognized
@Kanjo_Bazooie

I feel they get overlooked because people assume they’re just a fun jam band(which they definitely can be when they want). Grey Street was a real turning point and since then they have matured a lot.

I don't know what you're talking about. They are world famous. Their music is beloved by millions. They have made a fortune. They have several specials/documentaries, books, fan sites, a clothing line, multiple endorsements, music theory based upon them, several tribute bands, countless television appearances, awards, a hefty discography, and thousands of live performances. They are definitely recognized and rated among the best professional musicians in the world.

"For the years from 2000 to 2009, DMB grossed more than $500 million from touring alone and sold more tickets (11,230,696) than any other band on the planet."

I have never seen this show/interview! This was awesome! To hear what each had to say about the process was amazing! I listen to the music/lyrics and wonder where they came from! Truly DMB is so underrated! They fit some many genres, but not pigeon holed to one! You can have rock, easy listening, etc! Love it!💕

Ah the early days. This years tour is great...the band & crowds are super energized & its so good to see the band still having a great time up there after all theyve been through...but....its hard to compete with the early years & original sound. Just the 5 of them. The songs at their origins. Organic, bare knuckled & just so original. Thank you for DMB. 3 shows this year is not enough. See you guys in the fall. You all still look & sound great.
