My husband listens to this masterpiece several times a week and every time gets emotional by this performance. He doesn't even understand the words. Music is truly an international language by itself.
I remember him today with love and gratitude that he was here among us and left such a beautiful legacy. Thank you, dear Dima. You still bless my life with your music.
Merci !!!
Dmitri was one of THE very best. This piece used to be one of his favorites. I don´t want to hear anybody else but him sing this. One very sad part is in 2:30...where he sings about the gap in the flock, that may be left for him...he smiles, as he is singing this, knowing full well, that he is battling cancer. One year after this song was recorded, Dima was dead.😢
Oh Natasha what a lovely comment yes , he knew the gap was for him as he was fighting cancer I also fought cancer but fortunately I overcame it Why couldn’t Dmitri prevail over this cruel disease? He left us a seraphic legacy of songs and opera and in my opinion the most beautiful and saddest song CRANES
Russia is the country of birches and cranes that symbolise the kindness and the pure and beautiful souls of the Russian people. This unsurpassed melancholic tearjerking song stands for the ones that passed away in the war and sung by the iconic and the great idol of the Russian music Dmitri Hvorastovsky conveys the feeling of affliction in our hearts as he is not with us anymore but his magnificent voice and his blissful songs will always be perennial and will transcend us into the world of eternity.!!!!
Oddio, chi potrebbe odiare D.H.? O Anna Netrebko o Ildar Abdrazakov?
The most beautiful baritone voice i have ever heard. I seek Dimitri out his voice lifts my soul. I have no idea of the words ...i simply love this beautiful voice and music .
My God! it is so touching! my soul melts and prays God for them!! I feel the pain and honor them, thanks for your sacrifice to give me a world in which I live and breath peace now
Only battered and resilient Russians could have such a motivational masterpiece. Their experience with deaths in the battefield talk to our heart in a melody manner. Blood turned in melody
Thais Bury Don't get me wrong please,a little part of me thinks that it is better he will never see what is going on right now!I was thinking a lot about Dmitri lately. He loved his country very much.I have great respect for Russia and Russian people, for their culture.I wish it will all end very soon🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
Seems a pity to bring up the present day circumstances. We, none of us really know what Dima would think of this war so it's best not to bring it up. Just enjoy the lovely music!
American finance built atleast 11 chemical weapon factories in Ukraine. Would you shut the fuk up with your western propaganda for one second, oh my God.
Dear Dmitri, I love your voice, I love the Russian culture. Unfortunately I was born in the wrong country. Many greetings to you from me to somewhere you are! Marilene
As a musician who got swept away by life i discovered him only during thesecond lockdown here on RU-vid singing with Jonas Kauffman. I thought who is THIS. i had so much to catch up on
