The singer we all know, and he's a great musician. THE PIANIST!!! Why don't we hear much, much more of Ivari Ilja? The man's a master. This is one of the most difficult accompaniments in the repertoire and he made it every bit as elegant and assured as the singer did his part of the music. Thanks to Ms. Syara for this gem.

I always watched Spring Waters as a ballet... it's great as a song.. and sang by my favorite singer it's even more beautiful. We lost Dima today. He lost fight for his life. RIP....
Hvorostovsky is nothing short of spectacular here! I also have a recording of him performing Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov which is also super. This performance here sounds like it is in a slightly different key than I have heard in the past, but sounds terrific. His voice at 1:05 - 1:11 and again 1:16 - 1:20 gives me chills...
Do not compare the Apples with the Oranges, this is a vocal performance, not the pure piano piece transcription in this case. The Voice is one thing, the Piano SOLO is another thing, there are thing which are not supposed to be compared. And by the way.. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL COMPOSITION AND THE AUTHENTIC PERFORMANCE. (MOSCOW CONSERVATORY, THE RUSSIAN SINGER, PIANIST, THE RUSSIAN AUDIENCE......NO MATTER HOW IT IS TRANSCRIBED.... THE ORIGINAL IS THE ORIGINAL!
i love his voice but it sounds a bit heavy for this song. it sounds like someone bulldozing a creek instead of celebrating the spring. but great technique and great tone.
