Nobody but boxing fans now who Benavides is. whereas the secretary, janitor and CEOs know who Canelo is. I damn near guarantee you, Canelo will fight him after Benavidez fights someone huge or sweeps his weight class. I always said, one Benavides fights Andrade, canelo will fight him or the winner of that fight. For two reasons, the winner has certified himself as worth risking your titles and a huge payday.

Bivol is solid at 175, natural weight, so he had no issue swinging right back at Canelo. Canelo was never going to slam his arms. I told my Canelo loving fans, he's got no business going in at 175 and to go 175 and straight after Bivol and with a recently healed broken hand...against a guy that's a natural light heavy weight, with a longer arm reach..that's a great boxer, it's not going to happen. I told them, because I've stacked and dropped weight, he's going to gas out fast at 175. People don't understand how much harder your heart has to pump blood to 7 pounds of fat, and when it's muscle, it's much more dense and take more oxygen. You have to do WAY more cardio than you do at 168. Me at 5'8" and 168 I could run 4 to 5 miles without stopping without issue. At 175, I can barely make 1 1/2 and create a small river with the amount of sweat that comes out of my pores.

Canelos team rejected that, and wanted the exact same agreement as the first fight where Bivol only got around 10-20 percent of the PPV revenue.
