Here's Dmitry Bivol ripping jaw-breaking uppercuts and hooks during sparring workout on Aqua Bag.
Dmitry Aleksandrovich Bivol (born 20 March 1991) is a Russian professional boxer who has held the WBA world light heavyweight title since 2018; previously he held the IBO light heavyweight title from 2017 to 2018. He will face Canelo Alvarez coming up on May 7th in the Canelo vs Bivol fight as we see him looking great in this workout clip!

I think Bivol actually has the skills to potentially beat Canelo, however, the problem is (and this wud be the problem for anybody), even if Bivol clearly outboxes Canelo, the chances of him getting a decision are very low. He wud likely have to knock him out or lay a severe beating on him to get the win. Unfortunately, we can’t depend on judging to always be accurate 😂

Only real boxers can appreciate the beauty in his style and technique. Canelo punches with mean intention whenever he is in his rhythm,, He likes slipping and countering. But this dude Bivol will pot-shot you all night long, he'll bounce in and out and wouldn't even break a sweat. This dude is a machine for hitting the bag nonstop. Notice how he doesn't exhale loudly. It's coz it takes him minimum effort to do those punches. And he doesn't have to load because he'd rather hit and move with his feet. Plus the power is naturally coming from his weight while he is punching effortlessly. Canelo is a bit flat-footed and has a more balanced stance he relies on his powerful counters and slick upper body and head movement. Two different styles. Good fight to watch :D

These Eastern Bloc fighters, it's their amateur pedigree that makes them so precise and so dangerous. Years of Unparalleled discipline and focus with hundreds of 3 rounders against Europe's best . But Canelo possesses both too (great discipline and focus), despite not having the international amateur experience. He was just knocking out 30 year olds when he was 15 and 16. This is a mouth watering matchup.

Bivols Amateur record was 268-15 He's 19-0 and beaten a few world champion level fighters already. He has Power just his style is about speed fluidity and defensive balance, so dont be fooled, he'd rather throw 5 good shots than 1 really hard punch, he'd rather hit and still have good defence than the KO, Don't sleep on him

Makes sense, but he's not punching hard based off of what I'm seeing. Sure, he's a big guy and so his hits are going to naturally be hard, but after watching some of his fights and heavy bag training, he's just not hitting hard. But if you look at Canelo, he punches to actually kill somebody. Not only that, but Canelo's punches are hella quick. So good speed and hellish power vs solid speed and some power -- which one wins? The hellish power! And that's Canelo. I'm not counting out Bivol, but I would like to see him really put his all into his punches -- putting his body behind it.

its important to make time for just punching constantly from all the angles because it gets the body prepared for when the opportunity presents itself. say someones body is only used to punching from guard or defensive stance, when they let loose their body just isnt gonna be able to do what they want. 24 hrs in a day. 10000 hrs rule. easy to make time for straight offense

Heavybag is for training power primarily. Defensive moves aren't the focus. This is to focus punching technique and POWER. Other drills train defense such as mitts etc to build in the defensive movements into the offense. When you are hitting the heavybag the goal is to break that shit!

I m beyond hyped up for this fight. Bivol shoots long and crisp, sniper style. Canelo the ultimate body crusher with superior accuracy and counters. I got Cinnamon on this one...but i always go with Cinnamon, the living legend.

@@gerralld5211 Bivol isnt as complete a fighter as GGG was when Alvarez fought him...and Alvarez has gotten better with better stamina. Bivol doesnt have GGG's chin either...should still be a good fight though
