One of the most exciting pianist around. The best thing is that his playing is so full of personality. That is so refreshing. There so many who can play the right notes and nothing more. Shishkin does that and so much more😊
I am an aspiring classical pianist and Dmitri is a huge inspiration to me! He plays with such control, yet keeps the music flowing; every phrase is shaped beautifully. Never ceases to impress.

One of my absolute favorite Chopin etudes with a passionate interpretation. I especially love the way this piece barges out of the gates at the very beginning, like race horses being let go. It's 0 to 100 in a split second. For that reason, I always refer to this etude as, "And they're off!"

I studied to be a concert pianist and my fingers are shorter making this harder for me to play. This is without a doubt the best I've ever heard. It is precise and passionate! I would kill to have those long fingers! Lol
Dmitry, it really is a two-part invention, yes? And together with the Op 10 No 6 most likely exemplifies Chopin's reverence for Bach of all the etudes. Wonderful playing, truly! What a blessing you are!
I would love to know which microphones, pre amps and the setup of the mics. It appears the recording engineer had the gain a little too hot and the preamp choaked a little at one point. The piano is voiced very interestingly, to me. I love that your technique maintains your wrist calm allowing your fingers to solely create the sound. There is a clear separation of sound because of your style of technique. Very percussive. I like!
