Thank you. I have slowly started to get interested in DMR and agree with the start cheap approach. I have managed to get an Anytone 878 plus, second-hand but in as new condition, for £90. Just waiting for it. Our local repeaters are not connected to the internet, although there are 21 inter-connected repeaters so there is massive coverage. I'll look up the MMDVM Hotspot. Was it easy to programme? Cheers.
Interesting. I’ve not dabbled with DMR, mostly due to disliking the digital audio from some Hubnet users but maybe this system is more stable. Out of interest does that handheld have a promiscuous mode for scanning out of band frequencies? It could be useful for that if the buyer decides they do not like DMR after trying it. I did own a Whistler TRX-1 but think they are way overpriced for what they are. 73 Franco
