yeah I get it, every person under the sun has edited to this anime. While I'd not feel offended if you decided to bypass it because "oh my god they just keep re-using the SAME SCENES OVER AND OVER" (which is fair enough, there's only 9 episodes out, gotta make do), I'd appreciate it if you could make it to the end of the video. But hey, if you don't wanna, that's cool.
Anyway, reasons behind this? hmm well, as per usual I began this as an outlet to both my overboiling anime feels (don't watch SnK and Free! at the same time.I repeat, do not. It is not recommended, please avoid at all costs)
Uni is starting real soon and this summer has been a pretty big learning curve for me. The stress of knowing the direction your life will take rests on a few letters you'll be delivered on a piece of paper, and then realising that when you arrive at this new institution, you won't know a single person and won't have any family around, is pretty daunting. So you can imagine I've been reminiscing my highschool days as if I wish I could go back to them (I don't, but I bet in a years time I'll think differently).
So yeah, what else can i say about this except it was really therapeutic and comforting, being able to sink back into the rhythm of editing for myself and enjoying what I could do with a series to twist it into the shape I wanted. Hopefully it hasn't lost the essence of the anime itself though, since after learning of Rin's history, I felt a lot of empathy towards him. Everybody struggles, things do change, and it's usually only once they occur or once you've walked too far down your own path that you look back and realise not everybody is still there with you.
buuuut, i don't want to ramble on much more than I already have. I get it, sumimasen, it's a Free! amv and I bet you're so sick of them you could stab me us editors with a pitchfork but hey, live and let live.
