DMV Drive Test - Lane Change Troubles - Learn from her mistakes 

i passed last week with just 3 errors. if any of you have the test coming up, its actually not as scary as you think. once you start driving the fear and nerves that you had will start to disappear. you can do it!!

I took my test today and passed !!! I got 2 errors. Everyone taking it don’t overthink, have confidence, and take your time don’t rush. YOU CAN DO IT!

11:00 sounds like bad instructing to me. She can’t pass the car next to her without going over the speed limit, not to mention they are approaching an intersection on a yellow light, and she can’t slow down enough without causing a traffic hazard behind her. What an asshole move on the instructors part.

I just passed my drivers test today March 13th. My advice would be over exaggerate good habits, i.e intersections checks, checking blind spots, checking mirrors and just try to stay calm.

Just passed my driving test today on my 2nd try (first one went quite unfortunately to be honest 😂) had no mistakes, not a single mark on the test sheet. These videos have helped a lot thank you so much for taking the time to make them.

1:13 I would stop as right as possible, and then make a full stop of course. I would not block the oncoming traffic. Maybe the black car at the left could have wanted to go to the right (but actually it goes forward). At 3:15 the student does move to the right before stopping for the STOP sign. At 8:54 the same mistake. She should go to the rightmost position, before the full stock. 2:20 I would have slowed down a bit. 4:36-5:03 The examiner could have said: "At the next crossing, turn left." It is up to the student to move to the leftmost lane independently and than take the lane with the arrow to the left. 5:56 She should have switched of the direction indicator. 10:48-11:02 The student wants to do this in a safe way. She was dealing with the car on the right lane, I think. I would wait until the moment when it is safe to move ro the right lane. At 11:04 it is likely not allowed any more to change lange (at least in the Netherlands you must stay in your current lane, when the lines are solid).

10:50 was this some sort of test from the examiner to tell her to lane change while next to a car. Like I would've pushed the speed limit to change lanes and screwed my self over, because of the poorly timed instructions.

I failed my test yesterday because i didnt yeild at a signle full green turn left, i also went around a roundabout from the right lane and i slowed down at a controlled intersection. Such a waste of money, gonna be registering again tomorrow for anothe test.

This brings back so many memories when I got my license 10 years ago. I got my CDL Class A license about 2 months ago. Just imagine the same test but in a 70 foot truck.

Got my license on 12/4! Even though my test was in NY, This series was such a help to me because all states have similar tests and the videos didn’t only show me how to pass the test, but on how to be a better driver. Only got 15 points(max was 30) and it was just minor errors. Just breathe and practice. Practice makes perfect. You got this and good luck for everybody taking there road tests!

I took my first shot this Wednesday, however, the test was done before it even started: the battery of my car was dead after waiting for ~1h and my car blocked the test lane for all student drivers so they have to ask everybody to reverse... Embarrassed to death................

Good examiner her instructions were very clear,but the driver was going too fast and so when the examiner said turn right the driver was driving too fast the driver had a clear way when the examiner say turn right,if it was a other examiner that driver maybe fail the road test,i think she is lucky there,but the examiner was excellent,i hope i got a examiner like this one when i am going for my road in December in Braintree massachusetts.

Well, this one could go either way. When she was told to change lines, she really couldn't because she was going too fast. Then when she tried to change lines it was already too late, the instructor had to intervene because otherwise could have caused an accident. Another instructor could have failed her for that.

I would recommend driving in the general area with an expert just to get a feel for what to expect, that way there is no surprises

If you're in the Western, Southern, or Midwest US you're so lucky...I'm in New England and it's mad hills and bushes here that make it hard to maintain speed and see where you're going. Sometimes I wish I could teleport to Ohio just for my test lol
