Nisi Castro He was about 4 years past his prime at that point, had been in jail all kinds of things thats why Lennox beat him, Lennox ducked him for years and i respect the fuck outta lennox its just facts
A lot of people weren't old enough or around to understand the absolute insanity and hype of DMX in the late 90's when this dude seemingly came out of nowhere and put out two #1 albums within a year. He also played the main stage at Woodstock '99 to like 100,000 mostly white people who were there to see nu-metal and rock acts, and DMX did his set all by himself with pure rapping and energy. No entourage, no gimmicks, just him, and he rocked the whole festival. He'll be super missed, dude was a legend in life and more after his passing.
I walked into the gym listening to this song, and jumped on the treadmill and started running so fast. Then after the song was over I realized I didnt even turn it on. I was straight using brute force.
"The uh oh" will never not be hilarious to me. This is the first CD I bought when I was 13 and whole albums bangs from start to finish. This loss hurts, but at least we can hope X can find peace in the next world. RIP
Sitting here listening to his music crying my eyes out!!!! I'm almost 40.... people in my age group understands. The 90's and early 2000's had the best music. Dag X!!!!!!! WHYYYYY?????😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
+lyricalstyles Me too. But no one's prime form was better. Only rapper ever to drop his first two albums in the same year, both debut, and have them go multi-platinum. His first 3 albums went multi-platinum in less than 2 years. Only music artist to ever has his first 5 albums debut at no. 1. 1998-2003 he was unbelievable. He carried the torch after big and pac died
Yusuf Abdullah Eminem sold about 2 million in a week when he made the MMLP and has the most sold albums. I wouldn't say he carried the torch but he was just spitting out classics like nothing. If we wanna get technical, the torch went to Hov and then was passed on to Wayne then Drizzy
Sickest intro Ever. The wAy the crescendo starts slowly and the creation builds to a fever pitch is Legendary. I say this w all my heart, X IS ThE GOAT....SHOW LOVE!
Biggest fan of 2pac and outlawz. Love them to death. Dmx and 2pac are and were nothing alike person wise and music wise. They were both unique individuals. Only thing similar a bald head maybe which everyone has. Personally with love 2 everybody i would say dmx is the better rapper he just hit us with the agro gutter shit and calmed our nerves. His beats and lyrics were fuckin amazing. Still love 2pac though and would never diss his legacy or music. They were 2 totally different people
Shemar Nyelenkeh Haven't you seen what DMX is up to lately? He preaches about the Illuminati, and really, for what reason are you telling me to "shit" the fuck up? Give me one good reason :) I FUCKING love DMX, I grew up with his music, It's Dark and Hell is Hot is my favorite album by Dark Man X, so I'm not hating on him in the slightest. I just hope he can overcome his addictions and his obsession with the Illuminati. I miss his energy and talent in the Music Industry. All the shit that's come out in past five years is exactly that, SHIT. I hope you have a good day, whoever you are..
Shemar Nyelenkeh I am not even suggesting that the Illuminati are a higher power. You talk about "your people". That card is getting old. We are all just humans, no matter what our color. We all have the same color blood under our skin, all have the heart organ, all have brains (and the minds that go with them) and we are struggling to make it through our crummy world. Sorry if I upset you, that has not been my intention. Again, I hope you have a good day or night. Please take care of yourself.
DMX you're never forgotten! Got introduced to him at 99'. Since then i get every album of him. Biggest blessing for hip hop since 2Pac and Biggie! #RESTEASYX 🤲🕊
Rip DMX “Dog, that’s my manz in there, so what I’m doin, my manz and them is doin, because, that’s my manz, you knoww, so you know when you f’n with me, you f’n with...🎵🎶🎵
It's crazy cause he wasnt even considered a lyricist back in the day lol. Hes way better than anyone out now. He just fell victim to being one of many crazy talented rap artists in the late 90s.
this song reminds me of the crack era..all the rough ass inner cities all over the US during that period like nyc, la, new orleans, chicago, detroit, dc, miami etc etc...was a rough ass time to be black or hispanic in this country foreal
took the world by storm with this style and flow. I still get the same chills listening to it over a decade later as the first time I heard this. Never will this style be duplicated
I never knew this was a song on the intro until I caught myself listening to the whole cd without skipping and I had that cd for like 3 months till I noticed this was a song and not just an intro...it still slaps in 2019
Nobody has 3 album in a row like him ever. No matter pop, rock, rap, r&b, jazz, opera, musical, pianist nobody!!! Ends all with legit prayer....AMAZING!
Tay Mosley "Seems every time I turn around, there's another young buck that wants to take me on. I lay down for no man, you wanna take what's mine, you gotta beat me, but nobody ever beats me."
