I was security at a nightclub in the late 90s early 2000s. The owner told me we had a guest coming and for me to clear out VIP , he wouldn’t tell me why or who was coming. About 30mins later I saw a face I would never forget and my heart dropped. It was Prince, walked into VIP smooth, I gave him space but he started chatting then I broke to him I was raised as a Jehovah witness like he had been for years and very faithful to it. Well that broke the ice and we talked for an hour about the Bible. I never felt like I was the low class next to an ICON!! He made me feel human and humble. When he left the club he gave me a quick hug told me to get back into the church and floated out the club. When the night was over I had to ask myself wtf just happened. He was an amazing person and performer. RIP prince 👑 RIP DMX!!

Till this day, people still make fun of me for saying that Prince is the greatest recording artist of all time. Prince is the greatest because he covers a wide range of music which no other artist don't do as much or as well, and writes and gives away songs like it was nothing. Beatles and Paul McCartney. They have songs to the Rolling Stones before they knew how to write their own... After that Jagger and Richard had Lennon and McCartney teach them how to write songs. Lennon and McCartney are the GOAT writers. I love Prince tho. Dude could do everything. Write, extremely good piano player. played guitar good enough to make Eric Clapton compliment him. Played slap bass good enough to be in any band and even drummed very well. You can see video of him playing at an extremely high level on all these instruments.....I mean who does that....who masters all the instruments for pop/rock/blues/funk. Prince, that's who.
I luv DMX!I had the biggest crush on him when I was a teenager. He was so talented and he got that edge that I like and he was very intelligent too. I miss him so much rip x.
I remember when Prince came out, with his 1st hit/hits. Same time, heard on radio. He was gonna be down at Civic ctr. That night! This was in S.Fran Calif. Parked around the corner, walked up to the window(no line) bought ticket. One of the best concerts, ever went to. "The Time" opened up for him. Yea man.
