Just watched him fight Edwards and randomly looked this up on RU-vid cause I thought it would be an awesome song to walk out to. Had no idea he had already done it! Sounds like him tho. Fkn awesome song
@catalin I was one of his biggest fans.. if it wasn't for his music I would probably be dead right now.. but over the years I realized that my depression was nothing compared to his... he lived a life of pain and darkness. he grew on the streets without a family and without any real friends... I could say a lot about him but I won't. I will let him rest his soul in peace. thank you Earl Simmons for everything you taught me. I love you dog.
After 10 years of psychosis, therapy and shit I decided one day to pop my skull because I was honestly too tired to live. I washed myself, groomed my beard, combed my hair then went to my desk to listen to some music and at the exact moment I was going to do it, I shit you not, this song came in. I stopped for a moment because I was pretty scared and I wanted to listen to the song. "It doesn't have to be the way it is, you say it is just because for the past twenty years everyday it is" this single sentence was so powerful that I put down everything and decided to take a very confused nap. Now im back in therapy and meds and I try everyday to survive at my best, because of those words. Just wanted to share this because sometimes music really is a very powerful thing, and it can help you, for real. Best of luck to all of you! stop that rain! (edited because I wrote "halp" instead of "help" and I sincerely felt like Dolan so I had to correct)
I really miss Dmx, one of my favorite rapper after Nas, and I can say i speak for us all when I say we can all relate to this verse. R.I.P to the Dog ,the X

In the wise words of Master Yoda : Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not
“It doesn't have to be the way it is You say it is Just because for the past 20 years Everyday it is” RIP dmx, a legend when he lived and a legend when he died.
This part always gets deep into my soul whenever I listen to this song, and I always have this part on repeat because of the many people that I met in this life thought they were always right because of their opinions and ways of thinking, even though I know and they know they weren't always right.
@@themrworldwide its the best part of this song. People should stop saying for themselfs that "it is what is it" and remain in constantly pain. YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE
NICK DIAZ ARMY BITCHES. I’m from the uk so my next pay check is gonna be spent on some “REPRESENT” (Nate Diaz’s company) sliders and joggers and a t shirt. DIAZ ARMY
He isn't the best rapper out there but he puts his soul in his songs. If you ain't feelin X, you ain't real or you just been blinded by too much of these hip-pop artists today.
sonofaballer96 DMX IS one of the best rappers you idiot, if not THE best. it's a matter of opinion but he's 1 of the best. You making it sound like he ain't actually nothing special, not all that, but he got a lot of heart or some shit.
Dmx always raps with a purpose this is one of the reason why he is my favourite artist and will always be. Still the best rapper out there with no question.
Finally realized? This must be the first you heard about DMX and the first song you listened to, cause X always got a skit on all of his seven albums called "Prayer" since 98.
DMX is always praying. Still he's sitting in jail today. No magic sky zombie is going to save you. Do for yourself what you hope to gain and give yourself credit when you achieve it.
R. I. P Love your Music, your Style, your Flow, your Voice....fuck no you don't deserve such an end....hope you meet all the people you love in heaven...god bless you....
"Only i can stop the rain because the rain falls on me"-the most meaningful line in the song...........DMX is top 5 goat without a doubt soulfull real shit
Stange, after he is gone I understand how deep his lyrics has been. Now he is a legend definitely. I know in 30 years when I will be 63 I will hear this song and remember him. RIP DMX all the best from Germany
A real legend left us yesterday to be with the Lord God Almighty! My heart is broken😞💔He fought the good fight of faith, he ran his race and lost his fight against drugs! But I will see him again in a better place!Peace&Love, my dear brother Earl!Love u 4 eva!!!😘✌🏻👋🏻🙏🏻💪🏻

Some people care that prince Philip died today... may the church bless him... BUT! Many people care that Earl Simmons did pass away. Thank You for all the music and parties my dear King DMX!!!
what happen to hip hop in America? why aren't the vets speaking up and show what hip hop is! we need rappers like dmx to come back and rain on this fools!!!!!
exactly, but we all know rap like this will never reign because the powers at be will never promote real muzic that can influence the masses. too many of our generation now are into bling, pussie and fame. plus i know first hand when i listen to songs like this, youngsters do not understand the muzic and tend to look at me like i am some depressed mofo lol, i try to explain at least the muzic i listen to is reality and i do not live in bs world of riches, bling and pussy dream world. at least the muzic i listen to like pac and x, i have lived the life of an outlaw and listening to them songs, remind me of the lil homie days and the struggles i still continue to this day. who the fook is lil wayne?
i stopped lisen to the new music that hiphop comes out with.. fake bs rappers just trying to copy and be something they not. as you said when you hear the 80s 90s rap you can feel it cus its real. but i love what krs one is doing. teaching the people about hiphop. not only hiphop but to use there brain.
BigDaddyMacc c we cannot go back in 90s or earlier..we can just make new generation similiar to 90's or even more better, trust me,there are many people who get the point and wanna help others, and fight with words, but world wanna hear some guy who made his life for money, and rap for glory
I'm a Russian guy and I listened to it as a child at school, this style and voice of LONE NINJA hooked me back then and from that moment I still listen
