It’s arguable that 1998-2002 were the best years of hip hop. Yeah in the late 80s it was fresh, in the early 90s there was a lot of variety & pure lyricism, in the mid 90s it was even more mainstream so we saw an improvement in sound quality & more hits, but by 1998 the beats were even more crisp and that gangster ish and pure rhyming ability was still thriving in the lyricism. R&b was also being mixed with hip hop just enough to not dilute it too much, it worked well. Quality wise for me 1998-2002 were the best years of hip hop
RIP DMX we love and miss you I honestly teared up on DMX bc I grew up in him since I was 9 yrs old I’m 36 now. Too many bangers I was 15 when I was bumping this in highschool.
Rap's not my thing, but DMX 's music got me through those 0dark30 military runs, after having 3 kids. His energy can push you through and past anything. xoxo
This is one of the most underrated albums of all time. Also, one of the most underrated rappers of all time. In my eyes he is right there with pac, biggie and other disrespected underground and oldschool rappers.
The only artist in history to sell two albums to platinum within the same year, not to mention it was his first two albums, and you compare him to lower class... I'd rather have DMX back in the spotlight then bring back Tupac (I mean, his only fear of death was to be reincarnated so...)
X is one of the Greatest of All time for me. This hit me harder than 2Pac&Big because I grew up with X. I always admired the realness with X. He was always in a positive energy. I thank and respect him for all he did in life. Prayers to his Family 🙏🏾🙏🏾 My Brother in Life,You will truly be missed. I thank you for the ride..much love X #DarkManX
If the good Lord takes x away just wanted to say may he give him the peace he so deserves.Thank you x for ur timeless music praying for u bro n ur family during this difficult time
