I love westie, everytime he says if they didn’t shoot at us we wouldn’t have attacked I know that’s totally a lie but at the same time can’t even be mad. Makes dmz seem so fun
There was a clip in the stream the other day, He took a pop shot at a parachuter from the moving chopper because he never thought he would hit it and got an instant down 😂.
One of my favorite things about your channel Westie is your use of music. Everything just feels so much more epic and cinematic, and I’m invested in every minute detail.
Gotta say Westie, the lovely little additional storytelling elements that you're putting into your edits are really elevating the content. Keep up the good work dude, it doesn't go unnoticed!
Great plays from you and Stodeh on this one Westie. I watched the VOD of this stream and that mission was so ridiculously hard. So many teams just kept targeting the helicopter, so in a way they had it coming when you eventually took them out. That last play at final extract though was kind of brutal. Brilliant, but brutal. On a lighter note, I had my first positive interaction in DMZ recently. I was uploading Intel from a hard drive at a tower and I could hear gunfire nearby, but couldn't see anyone. When the upload finished, I took a quick look around and parachuted away from the tower, only to get downed from behind by a Juggernaut the moment I hit the ground. I had just lost my self revive to a squad of Tier 3 AI on my way to the tower, so I tried pleading for help and someone named "WhatWouldGodDo" popped up out of nowhere and revived me. We took out the Juggernaut, finished his mission, and exfilled with like a minute before the gas reached us. I don't know if he will see this, but I really appreciated the assist, so thank you wherever you are.
I loved DMZ before the update, now it’s feeling like warzone. Including so much PVP for a casual player (IMO) just isn’t fun it’s frustrating. I get the occasional good game but more often I’m just left frustrated by how it used to be and is now.
Fair enough! It was always going to go that way: when people got more comfortable with the mode, they'd have the confidence to push and be more aggressive. If the devs wants to lessen the PvP, they need to make dying more punishing.
@@Westie I feel like the balance was just right before they made these changes, I can see how more committed players would like it but as a casual it’s frustrating most of the time. I get the PVP aspect of it but when you’re spawn killed repeatedly it means to me they need to have a rethink. I have to say though this game mode overall has been way more fun than previous titles and there’s lots of good stuff to build on.
I used to play dmz when I wanted a casual game and then multi player for aggressive pvp. But now even dmz is sweaty with just teams playing it as a BR rather than doing the challenges. Not fun for me as a solo player
I gotta say, I hate dmz pvp but I find myself forced to do it everytime, best way it can end is: kill team, they request backup and you become friends. otherwise, probably noone will team up
As a solo player, it's always been full PVP...other people generally shoot solos on sight. On the other hand, if I'm playing in a squad, other squads are more likely to ask to join up with us. As a solo player, they don't bother because they see you as an easy kill. I don't see any difference now.
I don’t mind pvp but I have a distain for Al mazarah and snipers just popping at you with no intention of looting or anything. Game mode isn’t worth playing until there is progression .
Love watching you and Stod! such great content and they dynamic you two give is amazing. I Have been going Full Salam lately in the DMZ and its been fun lol. Keep it up Westie!
0.01 "I wish we can see people better at long ranges." Spotter's Scope? Did they fix the Spotter's Scope/C4 glitch that shows the position of all players and AI?
To paraphrase the Reverend Philip Shooter: Stop! Stop this, please! Let us stop this mindless violence! Westie my son, you may not be a man of God, but surely you are a man of peace.
I hated DMZ PvP, but then I decided to click this video. Now i have 700 billion dollars and my son doesn't hate me anymore. I acquired more real estate than the current surface area of the moon and I am approached by an excessive amount of women on a daily and nightly basis. Thank you Westie!
What needed to happen in reality is stodeh not moving the chopper as much. lol. You guys used to hit people from the chopper all the time until you were actually focused on doing so.
people are hating dmz for it's pvp content for me is really weird, like this is a survival royale of course it's kill or be killed, and that's the thrill of the game modes, especially when you kill someone that's stacked with high tier loot, it feels much much much more rewarding than shooting 1000 AI 24/7 like what do you get by shooting AI? nothing. if you want to play pve just play something like ghost recon wildlands , or just play the campaign, this is already a very forgiving version of tarkov and people still whine smh
Did this today, you guys made this so much harder than it needed to be. Just pull up with an lmg and fly chopper low. People don’t know it’s a player chopper because so many ai choppers are flying around you can literally pull up and shoot them. Did it in 2 games
Unlocked all three slots, now i can chill down on the missions and help friends Edit: hell yeah i love pvp even if it comes at a cost of me losing everything,in game
It’s like we all know deep down in our hearts that we’d all do so much better if we didn’t kill each other in DMZ… But anytime I see someone, I just gotta snipe um
You can keep dmz and pvp. If that's what I wanted I would play warzone. I am new to this style and dmz I use to learn aiming and movements and like trying to complete missions against the harder AI. But tired of getting to exfill and calling for ride only to be taken out by team of 3. Can not complete a mission or keep my stuff before waiting and hour. You guys can have this I will go back to racing like before.
Watching this episode left me with a rare feeling. Me and my brother are WAY better with the Javelin than these two. We are in perfect sync when positioning the heli and hunting vehicles.
I am honestly just waiting for a Battlefield 2042 video. I am surprised there hasn't been one since Season 4 dropped. It is a decent update for the game.
That was tight Westie, gg 🔥 I'm wondering why hating and complaining about DMZ PvP is a thing to begin with? -You have MP & WZ: pure PvP by design -You have DMZ: PvPvE clearly by design, the way the missions are made and there is even hunt squad contracts -You have RAID and COOP: PvE, same If killing bots is your thing, then you know where to go.
Some pvp'ers are so dumb, like me and my friend just made final exfil with a weapons case there was another team meeting us there and trying to fight us, we have plenty of chances for these 4 to join up with us. We split up and I distracted them as I had the case so the followed me and my friend picked them off. I got to the chopped took one down all while sending team invites and they were all fully geared. We wiped them all, they didn't even plead of try to squad up. We got everything 2vs4 they lost everything 🤷🏼♀️
I remember that when Warzone 2 launched Westie didn’t want to play DMZ for a whole week lol Now that’s all he plays, pretty cool how our opinions and tastes on things can change
Kinda feels like DMZ is now the Kent Coastline migrant camp for Battlefield refugee's and disenfranchised Warzone 2 players. I'm not really sure there is even enough DMZ content to keep this franchise afloat at the moment. Sponsors won't even sponsor tournaments because viewership numbers are so low. When will Activision actually listen and fix the game? Or just give us WZ1 Rebirth/Fortunes Keep back? Such a shame.
Seeing this kind of gameplay makes me jealous.. Bit of solo mission play is out of the question nowadays. And that takes away a lot of fun and 'eager to play'ines. The moment you play solo and squads of 4 or 5 comes hunt you down after just some distance shooting (mission for pvp or not), is just #€@& [redacted: not so fun]. So if anyone wants to join up for some (non solo) missions in Dmz: I would be pleased! (With or without comms) 😊
Your best friend in that situation is a UAV tower which you should run to in a bid to scare them off by nullifying their advantage (since you will know where they are if they get close enough). That in itself will scare a lot of people away including full squads at which point you can use the time it affords you to get away (preferably in a vehicle of some description). If you're evading fire because they've seen you then maybe running into a building then planting a mine at the door entrance may just make them hesitant when the first one barges in and goes down. Yes, that's right. Forget nades and knives. The solo players best squad members are mines as they're the only thing alerting you to someone on your six. Your ability to overcome the panic and unfairness of being hunted will make you a great solo player, simply by making the hunters into the hunted.
