Great set of three videos. This series is a “must watch” for anyone wanting to learn about Y genealogy testing. Thank you.

This was the first series that took me from basic fundamental knowledge, and gave me confidence that I could dive in to deeper analysis. Thank you!

Thank you for providing this clear systematic explanation of Y-DNA. I’m working to fill out the tree for an adopted lady. We now know her biological parents and most of the tree is filling in quite nicely. But the paternal grandfather has been a challenge. He apparently estranged himself from his children, and I now believe Grandpa was also adopted or just changed his name before marrying. AncestryDNA and 23&me allows us to “see family on the other side of the wall” but we haven’t succeeded in locating a paternal biological link. I started thinking YDNA might be the key to unlocking our mystery; after watching these three videos, I’m not as confident. It’s always better to know the truth. Thanks

Thanks for all the extremely useful information. I am new to YDNa and you have given me some clarity and tips that I'm confident will help me in my research. Much appreciated!

David, I think there is a real possibility that I may be descendant of Pauncefoote. There is a Richard Pauncefoote burial in a Church (inside the church) here in England which I would like to have a sample taken to see if I'm related to him (death 1210) which link to two families (Pounsford / Pauncefoote).

It would certainly be great to confirm that! I have no idea what the procedure would be in England to get permission to have him exhumed for a DNA sample, but others including myself would want to learn from your example if you were successful!
