Join me at MOTOCAPERS to replace my stock air filter on the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 with a DNA high-performance air filter. This filter is very easy to install, and from my experience provides a massive increase in the performance of the bike. The DNA filter allows a whopping 79% more air into the bike.
I am serious when I say the improvement is massive, it makes the bike far more nimble and responsive, and I believe that it has provided a 25% performance increase. I am really happy with the results, and highly recommend this filter to you if you are after a better more responsive ride!!!!

That's cool. I bought a filter kit when I bought my RE back in Sepy23, I haven't installed it yet, Probably about time I did, I'm going to ask my dealer about any warranty issues. I noticed that you have the original tail reflector which hangs down a ridiculously long way down. I shortened mine by cutting out 25mm off the end. There is a hole already there, so I matched the, now 2 parts, drilled a hole and then bolted them together. It tidies that end up really well and doesn't look silly anymore. @@Motocapers Spoke to my dealer about using a DNA filter and affect on warranty. The answer is, technically, yes it does affect warranty. I suppose, this is my guess, that means that if the dealer feels the mod caused an issue with the bike, they will notify Royal Enfield when claiming the warranty. Cheers

Just a tip mate, before you open the side cover, put a rag over the frame where the cover touches the frame,so it doesn't mark the side cover

Will the DNA filter install void the warranty ?

I am really not sure, that's a question you may have to ask the manufacturer. I didn't consider that when I installed the filter, but I would be interested in any answer you get with regards to warranties

@@Motocapers Given that you have installed the stage 2 kit, approved for competition, the manufacturer could have something to say about the warranty in case of mechanical problems with the engine. If you install the original intake cap the you can go back to stage 1 (normal use for road approved).

Hi, did you notice a drop in engine idle rpm?, my Interceptor dropped to around 1250rpm

Hi mate, no I haven't noticed a drop in RPM on the Super Meteor, but I have noticed a remarkable increase in responsiveness. The bike feels awake now! Thanks for the comment, please like and subscribe to keep informed about future videos!

Yes im subscribed, mine starts at around 1800 then soon drops back. I put it down to its breathing easier.

Mine idles smoothly and it is alot quicker now up to the road speed limit. Cops were about that day so i didn't push my luck with them. Ill post a video on my channel. Look for me under my name. Cheers Chris

I feel in real time that I am getting about 20-25% increase, and that will get better, I think, when I change the stock exhaust!

@Moto Capers , Nice video sir here need to put one point as procedure said that after installing DNA filter start bike and let it on idle condition for at least 10 to 15 min instead raving the engine immediately. Let ECU settle down and understand the Air flow, later enjoy the ride

Hi, how do you find your Ceat Zoom Cruz ? I have them on my INTERCEPTOR and find them good in wet or dry conditions.

Hey Chris, mate I find the fine, I have had no issues at all so far. I don't ride in the wet very often though so can't add too much detail about performance in the wet. But for the riding I do, I think they are fine mate. Hope you,stay tuned for future videos mate, safe riding 👍

To be honest I haven't noticed an increase in fuel use! It seems to be much the same around 300km per tank

Hi I got the exactly same bike in India even the colour is also same and I have replaced the full system exhaust but when I increased the airflow the pick up got down , so just wanted to know how calculate the air inflow

I got the extra airflow in by changing the stock filter for the DNA High performance filter, I got the statistics from the DNA website and I truly believe it to be correct, they claim 79% more air inflow, and I think it gave me around 20-25% better pick up! I'm from India too I have Interstellar Green model and I installed performance Air filter from Ngage (Indian brand) and it has really increased the performance and throttle it is highly recommended.

I have read that when installing this air filter you have to modify the mixture, is this true?

The bike will auto tune the mixture mate, so after install let the bike idle, do not rev it, let it idle for 15 minutes at a minimum and it will tune itself. Thanks for getting involved mate!
