The state legislators can extend the statute of limitations and may be able to retroactively apply the enacted law. You should contact your elected representatives, a survivor group and push for this to happen. It is unfair that you have to initiate this action but once legislators and law enforcement get contacted , it's hard for them to not work on you behalf. Bad guys still walking around free are a threat to all.

I remember seeing something similar to this in a lifetime movie. They couldn't get the guys DNA and he would always take his trash and cigarette butts with him. One day he wasn't feeling well and started spitting in the lot behind his job. The detectives waited until he went back to work and swiped that saliva to get his DNA.
@jamecia8550
@jamecia8550 Год назад
This reminds me of another case where the guy wouldn't throw away things with his DNA on it. On day he was at a restaurant and he forgot to bring another spoon with him for dessert (he always brings his own utensils with him). The cops got his DNA and matched him to a murder.
@euj0
@euj0 Год назад
This is not similar as there are multiple cases where police have used used chewing gum and trash for DNA samples. This is using ancestry websites and 23andMe and any of those. The technology allows it to sequence back to a common ancestor, from there they look at public records to see where the people with the DNA markers are, and when they were alive, then they further narrow it down by who was in the area. They can go back multiple, multiple generations. They have a hard time going back past a certain point because public records become harder to obtain and are harder to get especially for people who are immigrants to this country. In that case they need more samples to help identify suspects.
@nimatullahking3595
@nimatullahking3595 Год назад
@@euj0 no I get that. It's similar because of how the DNA was used. I know this was based off the ancestry. I said it reminded me of that case because of how the DNA is used in these investigations. In the movie they had a sample but they needed to connect it to that person. Just saying how they show the power of DNA, and yet people still send it off to corporations without any thought at all. I tell my family members about that. Your DNA is put in a database. People should be more careful especially considering how DNA has also been placed at crime scenes to set people up. The cases are different.

We can discuss “getting what he deserves” when any or all of that occurs. This piece of shit has had it easy compared to what he put his victims through. And, No, I don’t advocate violence. I've been DV for two decades by a popular business man who knows everybody in my area and more.
